NCLEX July 2018

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone!

I decided to start this thread for anyone who is taking their NCLEX in July 2018. I just received my ATT & scheduled for the middle of July giving me about 5 1/2 weeks to study.

Feel free to share any study tips/tricks, what you're using to study (UWorld, Kaplan, ATI, etc), and ask any questions! I'll be using ATI & UWorld.

Good luck to everyone!

You shouldn't worry too much! The test was a lot more general than I thought & literally only got 1 delegation question & wasn't confident in any of my answers. The chances of you failing in 75 is very low.

Thank you...the problem is that I have already accepted a job offer and it is going to be super embarrassing having to tell my employer that I failed, that's the part I am upset about the most. And it's my dream unit too.

Think positive, try not to worry until there's something to worry about. Have you tried the PVT?

I'm trying, but it's really hard :) people keep telling me it's normal to feel this way. But I feel I got a bunch of questions wrong - it was one just one sata after the other, I wanted to scream at the computer. Thank you for your encouragement though, I really need this right now. I was a straight A student in nursing school, but I felt like the dumbest person on earth sitting there.

Good luck with your test! Can you send me a copy of the mark klimek audios? thanks [email protected]

Don't worry. My test experience was the same as yours. Lots of SATA, 2 drop&drag, 1 med calc, 1 hotspot. I could always get down to two answers. The test was not at all what I expected. I thought uworld was technically harder, but NCLEX was more difficult because it was vague with lots of obscure stuff and I felt unsure about my answers. I PASSED with 75 q's.

If your test stops at 75 - you are significantly above or significantly below the passing standard. Given your background and the difficulty of your questions - I would highly doubt you failed.

Im taking mine this friday July 13th! it was the earliest date at the closest test center to me after weeks of waiting for just a transcript to be uploaded and reviewed. Ive finished Uworld's Qbank, kaplan trainers 4-6, priority test, alternate format test, and readiness test.... anyone else done the same?

Thank you! I didn't finish all of the questions, I had about 800 left. Overall I scored 55.2% which is in the 53rd percentile. My scores ranged anywhere from the mid 40's to 75%. I took the self assessment 3 days before the test & scored 61.3% which put me in the 69th percentile with a "very high" chance of passing.

Thanks for sharing. I've been scoring in the mids 70- low 80s and also took the assessment, which placed in the "very high" category. I was just nervous that I needed to be scoring like in the 90s. Thank you

I took mine July 6th here in CA.. I kept checking my breeze account but I am too scared to do the PVT trick. I also did almost 77Qs then after that i did the experimental questions.

Uggghhh I am going crazy thinking about the results :(

So far I only have an RN File #XXXXXX and no application pending. Did anyone had this too prior to passing the NCLEX?

Congrats again to those who passed!!! And to all those who are waiting for the resukts like me let's all hope that we passed!!! :D

Oh and good luck to those who are taking it!!!! Think and stay positive guys!!!! Sending you all some postive vibes!!!

Took the NCLEX earlier today, stopped at 80s. I had about 20 SATAs 1 drag and drop 2 med calcs an exhibit question and the rest are multiple choice questions. So afraid to do the PVT so I'm ginna wait for 2 days for the unofficial results. Anyway I thank God for the opportunity given me, that is to take the NCLEX:)

The Maryland BON is so hard to get in touch with! I was on hold for five hours last week. My school still had not sent the transcripts so I ordered them to be sent to the board via FedEx off my school's website. Once I got confirmation that it arrived I still couldn't get in touch with anyone from the board. I finally had to drive the hour to Baltimore to get a response but by the time I left I got an ATT! I'm so happy and scared! I need to take my NCLEX soon to keep my new job offer so I booked it 100+ miles away from me on July 16th. I'm nervous.
