Hello mval637, i just took my nclex on feb 12 and thanks to many prayers i passed with 75 questions. I know exactly what you are going through right now, i too felt very anxious. I mainly focused on kaplan. Just remember to get a good nights rest the day b4 the exam. Say a prayer before you start. Whenever you come to a question you feel you know nothing of... close your eyes take a deep breath. You know this stuff. In the end best luck to you and dont lose focus. :)

Hi there,
I'm new here and just wanted to share my current status...I will be taking the boards this Sat at 12 noon, I'm really anxious and nervous..I didn't tell anyone, even my family doesn't know when i will taking the boards. I've been reviewing since Jan 2010, I'm using Hurst review, Kaplan q&a bank, and ncsbn q&a bank as well. I just love the Hurst Review bec it helped me understand the core content..The lectures are not boring bec Marlene and her staff make the lecture fun and interesting. I have learned a plenty from Hurst review. I also do at least 100 questions a day and study the rationales. I hope and pray I will make it. Any word of encouragement or advise anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I agree with not letting anyone know about your testing. Testing is hard enough without any outside interference or pressure. Anyway pray, study then let go and let God. Have faith in your self and as hard as it is stay calm and think things out but don't read into questions. Look at the stem and pay attention to what they are asking for. I just took my RN exam 2/5 with 75 questions and passed. Even when I didn't know the answer sometimes looking at the question helps to eliminate at least two answers, then you have a 50-50 chance. Stay positive think the same and you should be fine. Keep us posted

You can do it. Make sure and rest before your exam. Everyone from my class who took it so far said to take the day before the exam off from studying. I did that (as hard as it was). I walked discovery channel specials, American Idol and (tried) to go to bed before 11. I couldn't sleep much, but I spent my tossing/turning time praying for peace and calmness and for the ability to use my critical thinking. I felt i knew only 3 answers coming out of the test, but critical thinking paid off. This morning I found out I passed!

You can do it too!

PS: I also didn't tell anyone that I was taking the test. Only my parents and boyfriend. That would've been way too stressful for me.

Oh congrats mdenise! I'm so jealous... As the date nears I feel so much anxiety kicking in.. I wanted to ask you, what did u do for your review? Do you think what I'm doing will help me for the boards? I did hurst review online and covered my content. For q&a im purchase Kaplan and NCSBN. I'm afraid that this is not enough or is it too much. I dont know...
