Hello, I can't believe that we graduated AND are now taking the NCLEX. I took it yesterday after spending many hours with my new best friend Kaplan. I would like to tell you that I left Pearson feeling refreshed but I left really defeated. I am scared. The test was hard and now that I am looking up answers I think I did not make it. I got 75 questions, which, I think is what we all would like, but not if you bombed. ARGH. I am truly trying to do deep breathing and focus on the here and now. Tell me about what you are doing to prepare and how the test went for you.
Chris
Ok Team APU; the next wave of grads are taking the NCLEX! I took mine in Anaheim and the center was great. Do not let the test take you over, you can do this, if you took Kaplan, then you have prepared yourself for success. Keep us all posted and call or email me if you need to debrief after the test.

Forgive me if I trepass on your thread here - but I wanted to say congratulations to you all and say that my son attends APU, if you are all talking about Azusa Pacific University.
He isn't a nursing student though -

Yes -Azusa Pacific. We are mostly recent graduates (last May). You are welcome to this thread anytime. Good luck to your son on his educational pursuits.
Thanks. Actually my daughter is down there right now at a softball camp, staying with her brother at his apartment just off campus.
My son is one semester away from graduating.
I've recommended APU's nursing program to some of the high school students I know who are thinking of nursing - your program is one of the very best.

The test marks the end of all the schooling and studying. It also is the beginning to a great career. I am pulling for you, too. Expect that there will be questions that you do not recognize at first. Take your time, read the question, use the strategy if you can, and make your best judgment. You can do this!!!!!!
Chris
Good luck Savannah and I know you did great Angelique! :) I will be praying for you on your big day Savannah and as you both wait for results. It is COMPLETELY natural...as I have heard from every single person who has taken the test that you feel that you have failed. I felt completely awful about a day after. At first, I was just happy to be done and didnt feel too bad....but then it hit a day later. But...I did pass as will both of you! Just find peace in knowing that those feelings of nervousness and failure, sadly enough, are completely normal! :)
Im praying for you both and you will be in my thoughts Saturday Savannah! :)

CONGRATS to everyone who has passed NCLEX! I'm so happy for you guys. I'll be taking it July 8th in Anaheim and I feel sick to my stomach every time I think about it!
Even after taking Kaplan I just don't feel ready, but it's encouraging to see that those of you who have taken it have passed and felt the same way as I do. This was a cool idea Chris! Congrats again.
