Both of you should be checking out the International Forum. There is much info on this already.

You need to pay your fee to Pearson-Vue, including the additional fee for taking it overseas of $150. Ther regular fee is $200, so grand total is $350 US. Go to http://www.pearsonvue.com. Once fees are taken care of and you receive your ATT, you can contact the center directly in Hong Kong to make your appt with them.

Welcome................... :balloons:

You will not find out about any open slots until you pay the fee for the exam, and can register. HK usually has a two month waiting time for a date.

Good Day! I'm an RN from the Philippines and I am to take the NCLEX-RN.

Pearsonvue should consider posting their available slots for the NCLEX in their website before we apply for the ATT so others won't have any problems like i have now:

I received my ATT today under New Mexico BON. My test validity is from December 14 to March 14, 2007 only.

I went to the Pearsonvue website to schedule for the exam but unfortunately, the latest available date is March 15, 2007 onwards which is past my validity dates...

:flamesonb

I've already sent an e-mail to Pearson Vue customer service but their reply was not very helpful. They said that i should wait for any changes in the slots and that i should take the exam within the validity dates only (in that case, HOW?).

:smackingf

I wanted to call but unfortunately, our phone's out of order.

Please advise me on what to do next... I plan to take the NCLEX in HongKong on any day of February, if there's a slot. i'M TOO STRESSED NOW... I feel that I'm not yet ready to take the exam and then... this news... too bad 4 me.

:banghead:

Anyone who ever had this kind of problem before? badly need your reply...

Thanks all.

how about using other phones (that work) in cdo?

HK is always full for at least the 1st 1 to 3 months but many of those are 'pseudo appointments'. Many of those who have scheduled already do not have intentions whatsoever to go ahead w/ their appointments and only scheduled to have a sure slot and just re-sched later on if they are not yet ready. These was discussed intensively in Pearson-vue's Handbook (also on-line) and they actually recommend that you make an appointment ASAP when you are already made eligible by your State BON/BRN even if you have no intentions to take it on that date.

I've actually changed my appointment date 3-4 times in 1 day when I was scheduling for HK before and was still able to make an appointment date on my preferred time of the day and a full 1 month ahead to spare.

The e-mail from pearson-vue is accurate - you really have to wait for slots to open up and they open up day-by-day and by the hour in fact.

Also, consider taking it in Saipan, Taiwan, Seoul, Japan, and Australia. Mainland China I think will have a testing center soon as well. Not sure on the exact dates. Check pearson-vue's website for updates on these.

Just be vigilant on checking the slots on your on-line account. They change on real-time and just prepare to call them up as soon as they open up and prepare your credit card as well. If you see something within your preferred dates grab it immediately and have it 'reserved' right away. Don;t even wait for an hour or two as that recently opened-up slot will be gone when you check it again after 1-2 hours (less even). You can always re-sched later on on your preferred time and day and what matters first and foremost is to have a 'reserved' slot on the Month you want and before the time limit set out for you by your State BON.

hey kiko... thanks for the suggestion but we already did that. my aunt in HK already called them up and she was redirected to Australia line of PV. They stated they were still full.the slot that's available would be late march... and that i should continue to check on PV site for any (miraculous) slot...

thanks lawrence... very helpful and informative.... i have this dilemma of changing the location instead. i really wanted to take it in HK coz the plane ticket is so cheap and i just have to stay at my aunt's place rather than in Saipan that the plane ticket's so expensive plus the hotels...

but i should choose carefully, right? i dont wanna confirm in HK, waste $150 then take it in Saipan...

:smackingf

Hi i just wanna ask if the fee in HK is 350 dollars... is it the same in saipan (guam) 350 also or 200 dollars only....thanks ..I hope someone will answer me
