Took the NCLEX today

Nursing Students NCLEX

I took the NCLEX today. The computer stopped after the 85th question, which is the minimum, and my heart just sank. So now I'm feeling depressed and I still have to wait more than a week to find out if i passed. Has anyone else taking it and the computer stopped on the minimum number of questions? If so did you pass?

Tim

Tim, I hope you passed too !! Please let us know, I haven't taken it yet, not till next year !

:)

Tim, I have seen many people ask the same question & they passed :) I'm sure you did fine. Try not to stress too much while you wait for the results.

mine stopped at 85 and i passed.... i didn't think i would... i felt like throwing up all the way home

Be positive about yourself Tim. Think that you have passed and you will pass.

I felt the same way and still do.

Hi Tim,

I took mine today also. Mine stopped at 85 too. I felt like I didn't know a thing. That was the hardest test I've ever taken. I started bawling when I got to my car. I'm scared to death! It was very long hour and a half drive home.

On a more positive note, I was offered two jobs today! :) Now I just need to decide which is best (IF I passed my NCLEX!!). I told them what happened with the test and they said, "That sounds pretty good." So, hopefully we BOTH passed!

Positive thoughts:

WE PASSED! WE PASSED!

I hope!

Hi Tim,

I took the nclex in June and passed. The computer stopped right after question number 85 and I was like,

 "wait, I need more questions, lol............" Really, I felt for sure that I failed and I was so upset that I was in tears all the way home. Thankfully, I didn't have to wait that long, took the test on Tuesday and got the letter that I passed that Saturday. Everyone kept telling me, "don't worry, you passed" but that didn't help my nervousness any. Hang in there and I'm not going to say, "don't worry", who doesn't worry about passing?

i remember well when i took my lpn boards (paper and pencil) and i was sick, ha, n/v, after the exam. it took me days to recover but, i passed on the first try!

all the best to you both.

Specializes in Med Surg, Ortho, Hospice, Home Health.

Isn't the fact that it stopped at the minimum a good sign? Won't you be given more questions if you are answering most incorrectly? That is what I heard anyway!

Good luck to you- I'm sure you passed!!!!!

Specializes in tele, stepdown/PCU, med/surg.

Tim,

Try to think positive, I know it's hard when your forced to play the waiting game. We are all rooting for you!

Tim,

A friend of mine just completed her classes and her instructer told her that stopping after the 85th question is almost always a very good sign.

Of the three nurses I spoke to at work, all three stopped at question 85 and all passed. :)
