Took the NCLEX today

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Ok, so I took the NCLEX today...Machine shut off at 100 questions...I honestly have NO idea how I did, but I know that is the norm...I studied really hard and feel as though alot of the information on the boards weren't really in the study materials I used. ( I used the Lipincott and Saunders books) There were no lab values, drug administration, maternity, cardiac, respiratory...things I studied lol...There were ALOT of prioritizing, a few questions where I had to put certian patients into rooms together, who would I discharge first...I hope I did ok, I'll let everyone know when I get my results...Good luck to anyone taking the boards!!!!!:nurse:

best of luck

please keep me posted!!!!

I am scheduled to take mine in 6 days and have been studying the "made incredibly easy" disc, which asks( here is your patient, what would you do if this happened?) ( here is a disease, what is a common symptom of this?)

--more for a nurse to know what to look for--

and then i see on the net, it says questions to study like, ( a man is 75 with this symptom, vitals are these, what is he most likely suffering from?)

--more like a doctor making a diagnosis--

then i see flashcards covering AV nodes and something about the 0.8 secs and this is what causes the systolic pressure because of this...)

-- more like, for a specialist or genius or something lol---

then i hear there are 4 drugs listed in the refridgerator, which one can be taken out?

--more like for a pharmacist--

i have no idea what to study or how- everytime I think I may be prepared with the proper concepts or know what type of questions to answer, I hear something different.

I know all of the tests are different, of course, but there has to be some sort of uniformity somewhere?

If you had to choose one of the styles I mentioned above, what would you most likely pick, this is open to anyone, I will accept any help I can!!!

Please help me!!

The nclex exam is an national exam. Same standard apply no matter what State you take it in. It's the same everywhere.

Sorry it took me so long to get back...I jumped on a plane for Cozumel on Thursday, and found out on my connecting flight that I PASSED!!!!!!!

congratssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

So are there any of you out there that passed with 265 questions?? I took mine today and ended up with all of the questions. I really don't know how I feel about it, I'm trying to stay confident and hope & pray that this is the last time I'll have to take this!

Please keep me in your thoughts!!
