Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

This is my first time on this site. I took NCLEX RN yesterday, it stopped at 265. I am really sacred, did anyone had 265 question and felt that it was easy and the questions were teaching base toward the end of the test and pass. I am going crazy here thinking of all the question that I know that I got wrong.:uhoh3:

Time to take a deep breath and try to relax. The NCLEX is over. I don't even remember one of my questions...and I passed with 265. Good luck.

I also don't remember a single question, took 265 and passed! It is quite unnerving I know I felt the same way. I was sick to my stomach for 2 days until I read the online results and then I broke out in tears when it said I passed. Good luck I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Don't forget that NCLEX testing will force a few select testers to take the entire exam-it is used as a balance and check for question quality. It may have nothing to do with the quality of answers, you just had a bad luck of the draw. I bet all of you were exausted after that day!

75 or 265 questions doesn't really make a difference. I took mine yesterday and am sick to my stomach waiting for results too. My best friend passed with 265 and my other friend did not pass with 75. All we can do is keep our fingers crossed. GOOD LUCK

If you make it to 265 your last question decides if you pass or fail(assuming that it is not one of the 15 sample questions). Remember your last question? Also, that is assuming that you are not part of the control group getting all 265 no matter what.

I am a recent grad and know several classmates who got the full number of questions, freaked out just like you, and passed.

I (on the other hand) was one of the few who had the minimum number of questions. Like you, though, I also freaked out, assuming I must have failed - but I didn't.

Don't worry too much. Stay occupied with positive things until you can get your score in 2 days.

:yeah:

75 or 265 doesn't matter. I stopped at 75 and my friend at 265, both of us passed. I trusted God on those moments of uncertainty. I hope you will too!

This is actually not true. It's false information provided by Kaplan. According to Pearson Vue, the last 75 questions determine whether or not you pass or fail - which is why that is all the minimum number available.

While it is true that, if you reach 265, you have been on the borderline the whole time, the test looks to see how far above or below the borderline (with 95%) accuracy.

Could you imagine the fate of your career being determined by ONE question?!

Hey! I hate to be negative but I had 265 questions and didn't pass....it does happen so just don't freak out if it does.....I was in shock but now I am re-taking in 1 week. Best of luck to you! Remember everything happens for a reason! Trust in God always!

Thank you all very much for the positive responds. I am just praying that I would pass.

I orient new grads, and my newest orientee called me freaking out last week because she also took the full number of questions. When she tried to look up her pass/fail 2 days later, it gave her a number to call. She passed, but was told she was in a sample group of test takers who were selected to take the entire 265, and then take a survey about it. So I guess NCLEX is having some people take the full 265, without informing them if could be a possibility.

BTW, they also told her how many she would have taken if she hadn't been in the sample group.....75 :( How frustrating!
