Starting on night shift??advice??
So..On orientation yesterday the interviewers suggested I think about what shift I want as a new RN..either 3pm-11pm or 7pm-7am. I like 12 hour shifts because they leave me more available during the week. Now here is my concern..I usually get sleepy about 12am-1am. How do people keep themselves up..Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Took exam yesterday stop at 265. scared pls helpppppp
75 or 265 questions doesn't really make a difference. I took mine yesterday and am sick to my stomach waiting for results too. My best friend passed with 265 and my other friend did not pass with 75. All we can do is keep our fingers crossed. GOOD LUCK

Just took the boards
Hey Ladies and Gents, Still waiting for results. I think I can go online tomorrow morning and find out. Thanks for all of your support. I would like to kick the individual who thought it would be okay to make people wait for test results. You would think that because we did the test on the computer it would be quicker. Oh, well..I'll keep you all posted. I'm sure there are more important things going on in the world but damn it feels like the end of the world too...

suctioning
If this supervisor decides to discuss this matter with you I would remind her of what the job of a HOSPICE nurse is. I feel the outcome would have been worse if you went against the Dr.'s orders to suction PRN. She had no right to impose on something she did not see first hand. Was she involved at all with this patient???Anyway, I hope when my time comes and if I am drowning and choking on my own secretions I hope a nurse like you will save me from that. You should be praised for your patient advocacy:yeah:

Just took the boards
Okay..slight anxiety attack occuring at the moment. So I took my RN boards and walked out wondering "WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED!!!". I mean dammit I studied for how long and still feel I had a difficult time, even with questions I think were meant to be easy. My friend said if you do well during the test the questions just get more and more difficult. I couldn't tell the difference between what was meant to be difficult and what was meant to be easy. This is killing me. I think I can find out my results Thursday. Is this normal?? To make matters worst the computer shut off at 75. All I could think is if only I had a few more questions to prove myself. I hope the ones I got wrong were the 15 mock questions..
