NCLEX to 265! FREAKING OUT HERE!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hey guys - I took the NCLEX yesterday and now I am freaking out. Here is my hx: I graduated last Dec, and ALL MY TEACHERS said to take the test early - there was a better chance for me to pass. So I studied for hours on end since graduation. AND plus, ok, I am an excellent student. I thought that all my studying was just going to be review (although throughout my "review" I was like, "I studied THAT before????). But I went into it feeling blah, but confident enough. I took the test yesterday and it passed 75, then 100, then 150... and i couldn't believe it...oh my goodness - IT WENT ALL THE WAY TO 265! Now I am freaking out. I was sure on half of them, and the other half of those questions I didn't know. And honestly guys, I studied like 5,000 questions from various books/CD roms/etc. I don't know how much more I could've done. PLEASE give me some positive feedback. I am feeling really down and lost and just really sad right now. I am trying to relax and forget about it but I really can't stop crying. I mean, does it mean I failed? Am I one of those that "do well in school but fail the NCLEX???" :crying2: Any success stories out there to keep my spirits up??? Thanks for reading and I wish you all the best in work, love, and life....

From the responses I have read thus far, getting to 265 and passing is not uncommon! :) There are lots of posts out there about people having to go all the way to 265 and doing just fine, so try to take some time out to relax (as if I can really talk!). :) I am just trying to occupy my time with other things until I can get the results. I went to lunch with my husband today and I think I am actually going to clean the house to take my mind off of it! Probably do some shopping this weekend if I can't get the results tomorrow! :) Do something nice for yourself while you wait and rest assured that the number of questions you take is not an indicator of how you did (trying to heed my own advice right now). :)

I am in your shoes as we speak. By know you probably have gotten your results, and I am sure you did fine. I took the NCLEX today and had ALL 265 questions !!! I am sure that i failed..... I am looking for success stories.

I took all 265 and passed. I know at least 10 other nurses who have done the same. Good Luck.

I live in CA and this is horrible. I can't get my results on the Pearson website. I just graduated in December and I found out that our school JUST sent our transcripts last week, so nothing is processed yet, EVEN though the lady I talked to said my results were right in front of her - they can't give me any info over the phone. AHHHHH! I won't be finding out until - I guess the earliest is next week. I am sooo happy I am not the only one waiting after taking 265! I am much, much better now. Man, was I a wreck after that test! Life goes on - but I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of us who are waiting...God Bless and I'll keep you posted...have an awesome weekend...Chris ps... big congrats to Dutchgirl - you're keeping me positive. Now you can exhale!!!

Hey,,I really know how you guys feel. I am freaking out too. I just took my NCLEX today and I was the last one in Pearson, imagine how I feel!!! I just finished taking 265!! Being the last one doesnt bother me as much as passing..I feel as if I worked too hard to get to where I am at. I hope God bless all of us with a RN license. I prayed so hard last night before I went to bed. God is by our sides and we have to keep reminding ourselves that. I know I may sound real religious but honestly Im not all the time,,but lately I realized that he does exist. Right now I'm feeling down, and I do not want to treat myself to anything at this point. I really hope i pass. :crying2:

Same here, I just took the NCLEX today and had all 265 questions. My best friend sat beside me and her test cut off at 85. I made A's in school and she made C's. I am freaking out. I prayed last night, this morning, and with my friend before we went in. I really hope I passed. I really need the money right now. I don't know what I am going to do. I can't afford to wait 45 days and pay to take it again !!!

Hey, I am in the same boat as you. Was your very last question the test difficult or somewhat easy but didnt know the answer?

I had all 265 questions, took me 5 hours 40 minutes with NO break!! I was first in and last out, but hey, I passed So try not to despair (I know, easy for me to say now) but I know how you feel :o

As others have said, the number of questions is not an indicator of pass or fail.

Good luck, will look forward to hearing how you did :)

Just noticed how old this thread is.....oops!

Thanks everyone for the input,,I really need it!!!!! Gosh I didnt realize how many times I posted,,wow! You guys know how I feel!!!
