  4. I just took it on the 27th and it shut off at 75. I thought the world had ended and wasn't sure at all I had passed. I did though and I know you will too! :)
  5. I am betting you did great! :)
  6. It's a smart thing to do. The night before the exam, we actually had tickets to go see David Copperfield, so we went and saw his show and then went to dinner. No NCLEX, no books, no studying, just talking and relaxing. I think it helps. :)
  7. Good luck Neuro Nurse!!! You will do great! The best and only advice I have to offer is NOT to second guess yourself! Go with your gut always. If you looked at the answers and one stood out immediately, click it and then review the other answers. If you aren't sure, stick with your first instinct ALWAYS! That, and breathe! I had to stop and tell myself that this is a ENTRY LEVEL nursing exam, so if you see stuff you've never heard of in your life, it's probably not entry level therefore probably not the right answer. I also had a mantra in my head which was, "Safe, effective nursing practice". Safety first always is what my instructors said, Safety and then ABC's. You are going to do great, just don't forget to breathe :)
  8. I will keep you in my prayers as well nrschris :) You will do great! :) Please post on how you did! :)
  9. Thank you guys so much!! :) What an unbelievable day! :) Neuro Nurse... The only advice I have to offer is this: Keep in mind that the test is not about what you memorized in school, it's critical thinking and the knowledge they give you is the foundation to make those critical choices. My strategy on the test was to read the question, try to answer it before I looked at the choices if I could, look at the choices and click my first instinct and then look at the choices one more time. If I wasn't sure about the answer after reading all the choices then I would stick with my first instinct. I don't know if that helps any. Also, I had A TON of new format questions and that's why I really thought I did horribly, so if you can, practice new format questions. Lippincott has a great book devoted solely to new format questions that I bought from Barnes and Nobles. :) Hope that helps! :)
  10. Thank you so much :) I am just so relieved! I did it!! I passed!! Yay!! This is the best day of my life! :)
  11. thank you to everyone who posted a reply! :) i just looked up the results on pearson's website and i passed!!!!!!!!!!! i think this must be the best day of my life! :) i wish all of those who are about to take it good luck!! :)
  12. When I took the test yesterday, I swear to you I had AT LEAST 10 of the new format questions, and possibly more. It was HORRIBLE. On the other hand, a classmate of mine took the test the day before and she didn't have ANY new format questions. Mine were interspersed throughout the test, all the way through to the end. It was awful. I still don't know if I passed yet, but I will update the board when I do.
  13. Thanks you guys for helping me know I am not alone. I swear the waiting is what kills you! LOL I never knew anxiety like this! It's sick! I keep peeking back to the pearson website in hopes that maybe my results will be available early, but to no avail Wishful thinking on my part. I have to get away from this computer and go do something productive. I am already enrolled in the Master's program at my school for Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and could be doing work in the class I am taking now, but I am too worried to even THINK! Guess my housecleaning idea is going to have to do for now. I wish you both luck! I am sure you did fine and that we will all have passed but the worry won't stop until we know. I'm just so glad to know I am not alone. Thanks again for posting! :)
  14. From the responses I have read thus far, getting to 265 and passing is not uncommon! :) There are lots of posts out there about people having to go all the way to 265 and doing just fine, so try to take some time out to relax (as if I can really talk!). :) I am just trying to occupy my time with other things until I can get the results. I went to lunch with my husband today and I think I am actually going to clean the house to take my mind off of it! Probably do some shopping this weekend if I can't get the results tomorrow! :) Do something nice for yourself while you wait and rest assured that the number of questions you take is not an indicator of how you did (trying to heed my own advice right now). :)
  15. Lippincott definitely had one with new format questions and I thought it was set up in a user friendly way. It also comes with a disc. The other book I found was a book of New Format Only questions also by Lippincott. They were both outstanding resources (of course, that is assuming I passed my boards yesterday!). :)
