Nclex in less than 4 hours! Eek!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I can't believe this day is finally here! I take NCLEX at 2pm, less than 4 hours! I'm feeling good but not overconfident by any means. I keep telling myself "you're gonna pass no matter how many questions you get." If you pray, send some my way, and if not, keep me in your thoughts and send some good vibes my way!

Awesome! Congratulations!!! What did you think of the nclex? As bad as we all build it up in our minds?

congratulations. plz give us tips. how did u learn pharmacology and stupid SATA's thats my weakest point. this always make my answer wrong with only ONE click. always i choose ONE extra or miss one. plz help me if u can give any good tips. did you get any pharm. dose ques.

CONGRADS!!

I also took the nclex today. My computer shut off at 75. My first question was also a SATA which shocked me. I had a total of 32 SATA and two questions where you arrange the steps in order. I've tried the Pearson vue trick and got the good pop up but I'm skeptical. I couldn't believe I had so many SATA questions and that it shut off at 75. How soon after the test can you do the trick? My test was at 8 I ended it at 930. Last time I checked the trick was 400 and I still had a good pop up saying I am already registered speak to board of nursing. Test can't be registered at this time. I just don't know what to think.

No not at all! Even though I had 33 SATA questions, I still felt like they were pretty straightforward and I had no problem answering them. The NCLEX is VERY basic stuff. Diabetes, restraints, chest tubes, what would the nurse do first, what would the nurse include. I has a lot of questions about a nurse holding a class for the staff about certain subjects and what would I include in the teaching. Definitely not as bad as I was thinking

Congratulations for passing!

I read the pharmacology chapter in Kaplan and just went over the most popular groups. Honestly though I maybe had 3 med questions all together and I only didn't recognize one of them and even that one I was able to figure out based on the answers given. It had what the med was for in 2 of the answers. I wouldn't stress about meds.

What helped me with the SATA questions (because I am just like you, picking all but one or one too many) was doing the alternate questions on NCLEX 3500. It's free. Just Google NCLEX 3500 and click on review, click client needs (this is what NCLEX tests on) under alternate formate items only and then pick your number of questions.

I had NO dosage questions. 33 SATA, one picture, one drag and drap, one chart, and one question about EKG but the EKG was in the answers, like which EKG would you expect for this patient. It was easy :)

Thank you everyone for your good lucks and congrats! It's awesome to have people supporting you even though you don't know them! I love this site! you guys are great!

I did the PVT right when I got to my car, maybe 5 minutes later because of the survey and all that. I've also been checking periodically since then and I keep getting the good pop up. The only time I've heard of the PVT being wrong was a false negative (being taken to the CC page but really passing). I have NEVER heard of getting the good pop up and failing. PLUS, I've never heard of anyone getting 75 questions and failing. To fail at 75 you really have to bomb it. I'm 100% positive you and I passed! Congrats!

Thank you! I need words of encouragement. I felt fine walking out of the test but anxiety started taking over later. I really hope I passed. I just checked again and am still getting the good pop up. Only thing making me doubt myself is the fact that I got so many SATA questions. I think it's hard to get a lot of those right but I have studied hard. I just hope this trick is 100% like everyone says. I've researched and found exactly what you said but I need to see my official results to feel confident.
