Failed NCLEX :c
Use your smartphone to study. It is easier, convenient, and more efficient. I use NCLEX Mastery, Lippincott's app, and Davis mobile I am a big advocator of mobile apps. If you want to practice NCLEX questions, your phone is WAY better than a text book. Its smaller and YOU ALWAYS HAVE IT WITH YOU! I find this very nice because I can do a few questions here and there (this really adds up!)

failed the nclex 3 times ... NEED HELP
I think maybe your problem isn't that you are not learning this stuff or that you are stupid. I think it is more likely test anxiety. A LOT of people go into tests and their mind goes blank, this does not mean you are going to be a bad nurse. Try things like meditation, breathing exercises, etc. I would HIGHLY recommend meditation, it will improve the overall quality of your life, your focus, and your ability to remain calm. Also, I would ditch the text books and come into the 21st century. If you have an iphone/ipad or an android phone, look for good NCLEX apps. Then you can study whenever and where ever you want

Don't have too much anxiety! It's not going to help you...breath and relax! If you're not getting enough sleep, that's not good either! Think positive and believe in yourself that you can do it! Good luck

New student having troulble with assessment of client
I believe practice still makes it perfect! You just need more of it and I'm sure everything will just be a piece of cake for you! Don't let these petty things discourage you!

That bothered me too before, I'm sure you will learn to deal with them as you go along...and violent/difficult patient is not really that common...well at least in my case

CNN article on nurses and job growth
good thing, this problem has already been brought to the open!!"900,000 nurses over the age of 50 who will probably retire this decade" and yes not particularly encouraging, because what's the guarantee that they will actually hire new grads??

How do you find time for your love ones?
I take advantage all my free time and basically spend it with them! I also tell them about my schedule so that they are informed of my whereabouts and that they know why I need to sacrifice my time away from them.

single mom. full time nursing student. full time job..
I'm just like any other ordinary student when I enrolled and finish nursing so I salute all single moms who survived the nursing school..everybody knows how tough is it to finish the course! There's nothing impossible if we're determined to do so...A strong support system I guess would really be a great help!
