Hi. I am relatively new here. I just took my nclex-pn exam today and it cut off at 90 questions. I had absolutely no math questions which I thought was weird. It figures though, since I have no problems with that part. I feel like I did horrible and felt stupid. It seemed like I only absolutely knew about five questions that were right and everything else was just a crapshoot.

Anyways, what has everyone else's experiences been when taking the nclex-pn test? Has anybody tests cut off at 90 and not passed? Just wondering. Thanks.

If you read through even a few posts here, I think you'll find that the tests cut off at EVERY number from the minimum to the maximum. That's for PN and RN exams.

Means ABSOLUTELY nothing. How you performed for those questions, however, will mean everything :)

Good luck. Yes people have passed at 90 and as stated above, every number from 85 to the max. The number of questions is not indicative of pass/fail. Welcome!

I took the nclex today also. It shut down at 75 and I'm terrified too. I didn't have any math either. And I'm actually good at math - go figure. I had a ton of prioritization, only a few peds and 2 ob. Hope we both find out good news real soon.

Hey All. Thanks to everyone for all the kind words and encouragement. Well, I just wanted to let everyone know that I got my results today off the internet and I P-A-S-S-E-D! What an awesome feeling to finally be able to say that I am a nurse! I cant believe what the last two years has taught me about myself and what my family has sacrificed for me when I took this job career detour and now I finally get to send them back dividends for that sacrifice. For anyone interested, I work in an emergency room and will be the only lpn working there. I love emergency medicine and feel very blessed to be able to work where I want right out of school. Most ER's do not hire lpn's, only rn's, so I feel truly blessed.

Now, step 1 is out of the way, I will proceed to step 2, which is a bridge program. I will start that in jan and hopefully get through that.

Once again, thanks for all the kind words!

I feel exactly what you are saying. I took it 3 times and didn't pass. I got a lil bit of it all includind math and mostly priorities. I know the material but the questions seemed so tricky to me, or either I'm reading into them. I don't understand how I ain't pass yet. When I take the exam I be feeling confident about my answers, but apparently the computer don't think so. I really want to pass and start working because I know I ain't go to school for nothing. Any advice from people who pass would be very helpful . Thanks
