I feel like burning most the LVN review books I bought as they did me no good what-so-ever on the NCLEX. The questions I got came out of left field. Stuff that wasn't taught in school like post mordum care for jewish men and questions about the Buhdist faith. I couldn't believe the questions I got. It felt like I guessed at half the questions. What a terrible feeling I have now. I have went threw the ENTIRE Saunders LNV review book and cd TWICE, that's 6,000 questions, as well as the kaplan review book, "lvn made easy", and the mosby cd. Total review questions and rationales done exceeded 8,000. Yet it didn't help me at all. Yes I read the rationales for ALL the questions/ answers. The NCSBN.ORG review was the only thing that helped me as the questions were similar to the NCLEX.

The VAST majority of question were priority questions. I had learned all the tricks to answer these in the Kaplan book. Only one big problem....the priority questions in kaplan are a complete joke (very easy) compared to the actual NCLEX ones which were brutal.

My computer shut off at 85 and I am positive I got the 85th question wrong because I looked it up when I got home. I hear if the computer stops at 85 and you miss the last question ...you most likely failed if you weren't doing so hot. I wanted to throw up when I left the testing center.

So hear I sit and have to wait 3 weeks to get result in CA. I will start checking the LVN board website next week, but I have a bad feeling my name won't be up there and I will have to take the NCLEX again.

Hey..........I just took the NCLEX-PN today! It is so hard to predict if you passed or failed! My test stoped at 85! But i felt like I was guessing on everything too; like many others; i feel numb and don't know what to feel. I am scared to feel good about the test because I might be wrong. I don't want to feel like I failed because It is hard to believe that after all this time of prep. didn't Work. Well, today the countdown starts till results!!:monkeydance:

I TooK my NCLex-PN 12-18-06! Here in Miami FL! I stopped @ 100! I didn't have a hard time! It was my 2nd try. I am very anxious! I want to know! I know 100 is a solid number to pass... But who knows!!! The 1st time I took it the computer stopped @ 205! What are my possibilities of passing ending @ 100?:barf02: :barf02:

I hated the whole game of NCLEX...the stress, the fear, the studying, then to get to that freaking exam and see that none of the questions related to what I studied. I passed at 85, but never again will I put myself through that mental torture. I wish everyone the very best of luck while studying and waiting.

Hi Everyone,

This is my first time posting here. I took the nclex pn on Wed. and i am trying to stay positive about it. It was really difficult. Most of the questions were not familiar to me and I had to guess a lot. I have been praying so much that I pass. I have a wonderful husband who believes in me and three beautiful children. I really want this and any words of encouragement from fellow test takers would be appreciated. My test shut off at 85 questions. I hope it is true that we only need to pass half of the questions. Does anyone know for sure?

Yes, I found them to be the best site for the Nclex...best resource ever and worth ever cent.

Regarding test results?...Mine took 3 weeks to reach me by mail and I lived in Sacramento, CA (where they process them..i assume). This was around the holidays so take it for what its worth.

I found out that I passed the test.:pumpiron: I was so nervous. I prayed so much during that waiting period. I was very blessed because I thought there was no way I passed. I can finally start looking for a job because you can now call me DANYA, LPN!!!!!!

Don't worry about it I am sure you passed not because the number of questions you had but because you prayed really hard. Listen my machine cut off @ 172 questions and i just knew I failed, but guess what I passed and it feels good. I used saunders and Suzzanes testing plan and I was successful andd you will be to.

I took the NCLEX-PN exam yesterday Feb. 24.My test stopped at 85 questions.I left feeling like there was a very slim chance that I passed.Now to add to my anxiety the waiting period begins.I live in Florida so I can get my results online or by phone within 24 hrs.I'll let you know the outcome.

The good news is that the vast majority of people that get 85 do indeed pass. Results is 24 hrs.......try waiting 3 weeks!!!!!!! JK> i bet you did fine.

I did the quick results today and found out that I passed.I could not believe it!I was ecstatic.Now I can relax and start looking for a j-o-b.Thank you everyone for all your support.I really love this web site,it's the best.:balloons:

Lucky you Angeltero with the quick results! And congrads on passing!

I took mine yesterday 2/26 and have the same feelings as Big B reading back on this thread. Augh. This wait in Calif. is just torture!! How did you ever survive it Big B?

I'm beating myself up thinking I didn't get one ques. right, but I know I'm only remembering the wrong ones. I need to clear those thoughts and think positive! Now only about 2-3 wks to wait for results.

And is it true, small envelope=pass lg. envelope=fail ??
