Didn't use the PVT trick or quick results

I took my NCLEX PN on April. 7th. In my state they do offer the quick results in 48 hours. Our licenses are posted a either the same day as the quick results or the next day on the BON.

So, I took my test and decided not to do the PVT trick or purchase the quick results. I had decided that the NCBSN was not getting another dime out of me. I would just wait the 3 days to see if my name showed up on the BON. It did.

Anyone else use tthe wait & see approach.

Do you know what PVT stands for?

What is the website for both the NCBSN and BON?

I think most people use the quick results if available in their state. The wait is too nerve wracking not to do it. Loads of people don't use the pvt. I did, but when I did it was the older version of the trick...If I took it the way the pvt is now, I wouldn't have done it.

I didn't even know about the PVT when I took the NCLEX but I paid for the quick results. I don't know how long it takes for license to be posted. Even though I know about the PVT now, I wouldn't do it. I would much rather pay the $8 for accurate results than something that is iffy.

Same, I used the wait and see approach. I didn't try the PVT and don't even have quick results in my state. Suspense was too much though! It posted on the 4th day sometime before 3am when I checked on my BON's website.

I did not do the PVT, I did not want to chance the $200 if I didn't pass...also I didn't really have an extra $200 to spare. My license was posted 48hrs later.

Just an FYI: Pearson Vue (which administers the exam and registers applicants for it) charges $8 for Quick Results; it has no connection to NCSBN (the entity that creates the NCLEX).

What is the website for both the NCBSN and BON?

NCSBN.org. Every State has its own website for the BoN (and for that, Google is your friend) ;)
