Nclex dilemma ... PLEASE RESPOND

Published

Hi everyone, I have a few questions...here is my scenario first...-I took my nclex RN in California in Pasadena on Monday 3/12/12...around 1:30pm-TODAY is Friday 3/16/12...yet MY NAME IS NOT ON THE BON WEBSITE-The room was full of people testing, as in not one empty seat (might be relevant since I heard fellow classmates that tested at other locations say that there were just a few people in the testing rooms for them)...-a friend of mine took her exam at the same time and same date, however at a separate location and her name is up...(congrats for her... But made my anxiety increase dramatically)...-I am assuming everyone knows or has heard about the famous "Pearson Vue Trick"... So yes I attempted the PVT and I got the pop up we all want...(Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance...BLAH BLAH BLAH)Okay now for the questions...-DID I PASS?-DID I FAIL?-HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT? (it has been four long dreadful days already and the weekend is here already... Which leads me to my next question)-DOES THE BON UPDATE THEIR SITE ON WEEKENDS?-WHAT IS THE LONGEST WAIT YOU HAVE HEARD A PERSON WAIT?-IS THERE ANY HOPE I MAY HAVE PASSED AND THE BON MAY HAVE MESSED UP AND I MIGHT RECIEVE MY LICENSE IN THE MAIL INSTEAD OF THAT UGLY BIG WHITE FAIL ENVALOPE?Please anyone respond, pray for me, send happy thoughts, HEEEELLLPPP!!!If I hear anything... I will do my best to keep you updated... THANK YOU =)

It's probably because the boards are going to request more information from you. You may have passed and they cannot release your license because of paperwork. It happened to me. My school hired someone to do our livescan and they did not properly transmitted my fingerprints. Hence, the boards cannot release my license until I sorted it out. One of my classmates, who passed as well, have some problems with her transcripts and she's still trying to fix it (they have not released her license).

They could be putting restrictions on your license.... Do you have anything on your record...even a speeding ticket in California could be the reason why it's taking awhile. Please keep us all posted

For California it's a long wait. May take up to 2 weeks. You passed. Congrats!

last time i had to do anything with the ca bon they told me they're closed on a few fridays per month and have also had staff cuts due to budget problems.

you're going to be at work a loooooong time... don't stress over another few days. everything in life isn't immediate gratification.

It depends really on them. some classmates saw it in 3-4 days, some in 2 weeks...

I don't know why do they do that.

Frat and foremost...The Pearson Vue trick works!!! Yes it does! You know what that means!!! I passed my nclex exam!!!Woo hoo!!! I am finally a nurse!!! So guess what was my problem was!!?! It was a transcript issue that the BON had been at fault for! Can you believe that..an 8day wait...man oh man the anxiety I went through...Well it is in the past...and now I gotta go job searching! Thanks everyone who posted I appreciate it

CONGRATULATIONS!!

help! im an american citizen living in the philippines. ive chosen california as my state. ive got everything all set to mail. i've just got ine more question, do i mail my fingercard in the same envelope as my application or separately? and if so, do i still mail it to the same address? help!! :(

You have to separate the envelop. Your eligibility application form, fingerprint card, photocopy of your SSN, etc., and payment must be in one envelop. The other envelop are the forms that the school will submit to the CA-BON. It must be mailed on the same address.
