Hey all,
I know that most people have used numerous study books, websites etc, and I just wanted to know the ONE BEST that you think helped you. My NCLEX is ten days out.. and I haven't done a ton of studying yet (oops). Thanks in Advance!

Welcome
Last minute cramming isn't going to help but would suggest concentrate on answering questions and understanding the rationale to the ones you get wrong.
Good luck

With your test being so close, perhaps buying a book full of practice questions (such as Saunders) to help get you in the groove would help. I would recommend getting a book that comes with a CD-ROM so that you can make it even more like when you take NCLEX

Since you don't have a lot of time, get a cd & do practice questions, know your labs, know med levels, prioritizing, delegating, and good luck...

try buying the book entitled kapalan nclex strategies 2008-2009
Thanks everyone.
Just so you dont think i'm totally stupid or blowing this off.. I generally do better studying closer to the tests, and got pretty good grades all the way through nursing school and am usually a really good test taker. Saying that, I know I need to bust into gear this last week for sure because I know this test will be harder than anything we've ever had! Thanks!!

I agree with a previous post. Purchase the Kaplan Strategies Book 2008-2009. There are 180 questions on CD and an additional test of 180 questions in the book. 10 days is not much time for content review or I would suggest a good comprehensive review book that comes with questions on CD like Saunder's 4th edition so you can review weak areas. Do you feel confident with content, disease process, etc.? If so, do questions. If not I would suggest rescheduling at a further date because 10 days go by so quickly when you're studying. You also don't want to overwhelm yourself with cramming so many questions and studying in a day. Good luck to you!

This exam is also very different from anything that you have ever taken in your life and is quite different from nursing school.
Best of luck on your exam.
