NCLEX in 3 days & I am beyond nervous!!

Published

My original plan was to take the exam today but I didn't feel as if I was ready so I rescheduled it for this Friday. I'm so nervous!! I've been using Kaplan, PDA, and Saunders (a little bit).

My QT scores are:

QT1 56%

QT2 60%

QT3 55%

QT4 54%

QT5 60%

QT6 56%

QT7 59%

QB 57% w/ 71% completed...I plan to do more by the Wednesday.

My PDA scores are waaay better than my Kaplan scores, scoring anywhere from 65-80%.

I don't want to be the person that reschedules every week because I allowed my anxiety to take over and then the content is no longer as fresh. I plan to take the Readiness Test on Wednesday. I've gone over content that I couldn't remember or didn't do well in, using the Saunders book for a brief refresher and practicing their questions. The only thing is that Saunders is sooo much easier. I don't know what to do...I'm so nervous. Any advice, tips, and/or encouragement is greatly appreciated.

I passed my exam with the green Saunders book and cram exam! You'll be surprise how much info you retain everything comes back lil by lil when your taking the exam... Have confidence that u WILL pass this exam! You completed the program you were in so you def have potential! Stay positive, God Bless

Good luck! and let us know how you do! My Kaplan scores are similar to yours. I still haven't taken QB 6 & 7 but i just did the readiness exam. I take my exam in a week.

Thank you so much for your replies!

Did you do the sample RN tests on Kaplan?

I took it yesterday at 2,, wasn't as hard as ATI, in my opinion it compared to Kaplan Prep and Saunders. I got A LOT of teaching and "who would the RN see first". I can honestly say the most confident I felt on any answer choice I made was about 80%. I obviously don't have me results yet but I got the good pop up when trying the pvt. As far as studying goes I used Saunders 99% of thr time and ATI the rest. I felt discouraged because my scores were in the 60's for Saunders, ATI and the one time I did Kaplan Prep (q bank or predictor I think, the free one ). NCLEX is challenging for sure but it's not as bad as its often made out to be (in my opinion anyway). We'll see what my results are tomorrow though !

Specializes in CMSRN.

I took the NCLEX yesterday and I feel ATI and Kaplan really prepared me. I did QUESTIONS, QUESTIONS, and more QUESTIONS. Saturday before the test I did 445+ questions. I wanted to know that I had done everything I could to be prepared.

That being said, RELAX the day before your test. I know that's easier said than done but everyone I know says no studying the day before. I closed my computer Saturday night knowing there was going to be NO more studying Sunday and it was a relief. I relaxed and spent time with my husband and kids. I rested and didn't really do much of anything. Monday morning I woke up, ate breakfast, and walked to the testing center (I stayed at a hotel just down the block) knowing I had done everything I could to prepare. When you start, just take it one question at a time. Do NOT think about the last question you just answered because they no longer matter. Focus no the question in front of you and only that question. Know that you've prepared long and hard for this and that you're ready.

Good luck and I very much hope to see a message about your positive results come the end of the week/beginning of next week!

Yes, my lowest score was 30% (the select all that apply) and 80% (the priority-type questions). I've never been so nervous about a test ever. I didn't study as much for the NCLEX-PN. I studied for like a week.

Same here!!! I felt like crap after I took the SATA one but I don't think a lot of people aced that one either lol!

I'm so tempted to reschedule again but then, I feel as if I'll never be "ready".
