i have been a LPN for 21 years and i have never heard of these drugs.. i think they made them up.. i had no insulin ( i wish) it was .. i couldn't even figure out what they were by the name... ugh.. i could of crawled under the desk.. we'll see what thursday brings

Drugs on NCLEX are usually very common drugs like Insulin, IV Lopressor, Dopamine. Drugs that are commonly involved in errors. Strange you've never heard of the drugs on the test before. I know they include 15 experimental questions in each test. Perhaps these were the drug questions you got and don't count anyway. Let us know. Good Luck.

Well, I can attest to the fact that some of the drugs mentioned on my exam a year ago were not in the least familiar! Were they "pilot" questions? Possibly. Or they were simply using uncommon drugs at the higher-questioning level.

All in all, they gave yet one more reason for a stressed-out new grad to stress further!

kizzykat: Hang in there! I have seen you struggle with preparation on this board for some time, and I remember all too well what that was like! The time between leaving the exam site and getting the results was the most torturous two days of my life, rest assured. I still vividly remember walking out of the building on a beautiful sunny day, getting into my car, and not being able to breathe. Just had my head pounding and my heart racing, I called my dh and cried ALL the way home (an hour and a half, mind you).

Everyone can tell you to relax, go take a walk, get it out of your head, and I'd like to do that too, but I know you won't listen ;)

I tried, and kept somehow coming around to worrying over questions I figured I got wrong. I know you are, too, but please remember that you tend to remember the ones that you were unsure about, but that doesn't mean they were the majority of your test, or even the "counted" questions! When it seems like you got ALL of the problems wrong, remember that you don't remember most of them at all--the ones you whizzed through.

Hang tough, the results will be in soon, and you can relax THEN! :D

My test sounds much like your's, priority, around 6 all that apply, teaching, and some meds I had no clue what they were. I was positive I had failed it. I was miserable. I was scared to check the quick results, because I didn't want to face my failure. I was totally surprise to discover that I passed! So hang in there. I am hearing that most people walk away feeling that they failed it, but didn't. You will be in my prayers!

Hi there,

I'm kinda worried because I don't feel like I "failed" I just do not feel like I for 'sure' passed!

Maybe I am in denial or maybe two of my profs who gave us weekly tests which DID make us feel like we failed really set us up nicely to feel good after NCLEX...yet, I am still worried that I 'could' have definately failed.

[edit to warn...vacillations about in next paragraph:)]

I mean, if the 60 questions test us with the 15 test drive questions, how can they really know if we are sufficient to be nurses? Really, is that all there is? Ack, I have no clue...back to waiting for quick results.
