Hi Everyone, I am a Liberal Arts student at NCC right now and interested in "Change of Program" to Nursing for Spring 2021. I have almost all the Pre-reqs done with 3.7 GPA. Only thing I worry about at this moment is the TEAS Exam. I did not take the TEAS yet and due to the COVID-19, there's no any test date available in my area. Do you guys know if they would consider my application without the TEAS? Please let me know if you know anything about this situation. Thank you
I’m worried I won't get in with my grades. Current NCC student who doesn't live in LI and I’m hoping I get accepted in the program. I did get accepted into Molloy but they don't offer a daycare and it’s much longer to graduate.
My stats:
TEAS: 80.2
Currently taking patho and still need bio ethics
I honestly don't think I’ll get in. Most people have better grades than I do and I won't have the +10 pts for Nassau resident ?. My daughter attends NCC’s daycare and its such a good daycare. I hope she can continue to attend ??.
Nonetheless, I hope we all get in. Good luck everyone. The anticipation is killing me.
I have a question for you guys. Im wondering what you would do in my situation.
Due to the nature/competitiveness of getting into these programs, I applied to 3 programs:
2 for nursing (nassau community college and BMCC)
1 for respiratory therapy
The respiratory one got back to me super early (2 weeks ago), I registered for the classes (not paid yet, due in January), and did online orientation.
Like everyone here im waiting to hear back from NCC this month. As for BMCC, lm scheduled to take HESI in December. So even if I pass HESI, BMCC won't tell me anything until around Christmas.
The thing is the respiratory program is saying we could buy our textbooks now. Im trying to hold off to see what NCC says because these books are kinda expensive. But at the same time, I don't want them to run out of stock at end of this month (who knows?). Maybe im over thinking it though.
Would you guys buy the books or wait? And suppose both accepted you?

I’d say wait & buy the books but I’m surprised NCC let you apply to both programs. Last semester I tried applying to two separate programs at Nassau and they only let me apply to one.

That’s correct. You grades are fantastic! No worries. There are people who got into the program who still had to finish 2 science courses.
