NCC Spring 2021 NASSAU COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Hi Everyone, I am a Liberal Arts student at NCC right now and interested in "Change of Program" to Nursing for Spring 2021. I have almost all the Pre-reqs done with 3.7 GPA. Only thing I worry about at this moment is the TEAS Exam. I did not take the TEAS yet and due to the COVID-19, there's no any test date available in my area. Do you guys know if they would consider my application without the TEAS? Please let me know if you know anything about this situation. Thank you

Did anyone confirmed their attendance already? I confirmed mine but didn’t hear anything back.

I confirmed too and haven’t heard anything back yet. Also already compete the background check.

Hi everyone , 

I sent my confirmation email for the evening seat, twice to be sure LOL. No email receipt back though, so I’m guessing they haven’t emailed anyone back yet. 
 

for those still waiting, we have until December 4th to decline seats so don’t lose hope! a lot of people were deciding between NCC and other schools so don’t assume you’re being rejected.

Same. I confirmed my attendance & did the background check but I didn’t get any e-mail back.

I completed my background check too but I am not sure if I have to share it with NCC or they already have access to it ?

I think they have access to it but that’s a good question to confirm. If we need to share the results of the background check with NCC. 

Does anyone know when they let us know what classes to register for ? Has anyone registered for NUR101 already ? Also my major hasn’t changed on my file. Still says” undecided “.

Can we register for NUR 101 already or do we have to wait for NCC to grant us permission to register for nursing classes ?

Happy thanksgiving to all and well wishes to everyone who wAs accepted into the Spring 2021 semester.

on Wednesday afternoon the nursing dept sent out an email to approx 20 students, I was among them. The letter didn’t mention anything about a waiting list but it did state that we would have to reapply because no more seats available. 
yesterday I noticed something very crucial on my transcript. I noticed the transfer my AHS131 but not the AHS 132 both classes only taken once and received an A in both classes. The date they have me as taking the class is not what on my LaGuardia transcript. So that might have been the nail In my grave.

but overall I now need to reconsider reapply to NCC and Suffolk or go to LaGuardia for the LPN program 

it’s lots to consider.

 

Ruu Reyes, thank you for your giving us hope but I (we on the email yesterday) officially received a letter of denial due to seats so I’m not sure about the potential seats that may become available. Perhaps the nursing dept already have students set aside to fill those seats.

Does anyone know what color/type of scrubs we'll need? If we can buy our own I'd like to take advantage of the Black Friday sales.

I haven't been to campus since March 2020 and I can't remember what the nursing students wore LOL.

Hi Everyone!  I stumbled up on this thread while searching for NCC stuff.  I was just accepted to the nursing program for Spring 2021.  ? 

Does anyone know if we have all of semester 1 done except the ESC History class if we can start clinicals right away?  I have most of semester 2 done as well and I have all of pre-reqs for Fundamentals done.  Just wondering if I can jump right in and maybe take that history class over the Summer.  I wonder if they make you go in order.  I can't find anything on the website about that.
