NC-CLEX TRAININGS recognized in the US??

Sorry, but save your money. Not one of their training programs are accepted in the US. It does not matter what they are telling you, the truth is that no facility will accept any of the courses taught by these companies around your country.

If your employer wishes you to have it, they will provide the training for you. And these trainings will not aid you in getting hired in the US.

Please take the time to do some reading here. The name of this company is also to make it look like they are affiliated with the NCLEX exam, and that is as far from the truth as possible. In the US they would not even be allowed to use this name. Do not let yourself get tricked by it.

i came across the Philippine nurses association and i had seen a training center. it is called NC-CLEX. it said that all their trainings are recognized in the united states. i wonder if this is true because i am planning to take all the trainings next month. Please help?

What do you need the training for? Not for application.

Probably to add on your resume on trainings. If you want to be ALS Certified or IV certified...thats good to add on your resume.

Each US hospital that will hire you will train you on their own budget and through their own Nursing Training and Education Department. The Hospitals prefer it that way. So that the Training you will be undergoing under them can be tied to their policies and ongoing programs.

They always say "There is the wrong way, the correct way and the

(INSERT NAME OF HOSPITAL) way."

try to find a hospital there who has icu, at least you will get an exposure. if you want to work in telemetry here in the us in the future, and if you ever get hired in an american hospital, they will train you with pay, they will orient you for months, and work with a preceptor before letting you work on your own. in addition, acls stuff changes frequently, by the time you get here, whatever you learn in pi is obsolete. remember, training is different from actually "working". here in the us, you have a license to protect all the time. in the philippines, you can "train" without pay. here you get paid actually. i suggest start from the bottom, then go up when you feel more confident.

I attended their ACLS training. According to them, they are accredited in California. They have an accreditation no. Better check their website.

I have attended the NC-CLEX ACLS sometime in year 2005! In fairness, they did deliver very well the training course, although, THEIR FEES ARE REALLY VERY VERY EXPENSIVE!!!

If you want a real training, GO TO A HOSPITAL!!! WORK AS A REAL NURSE and not to practice or train using DUMMIES!!!

DUMMIES dont have lives! If the hospital dont accept any applicants as of now, then at least you VOLUNTEER!!

That's the best option you've got now! Its cheaper and you work on real human being called patients!!!!

Im really glad that I read this topic because Ive been thinking on whether I should attend trainings and stuff but I was worried that I will be only wasting my money since I dont think they will ever be accredited in other countries.

Anyways, there's an American Heart Association (or Im not quite sure of the name but similar to that) branch here in the PI, they offer trainings for BLS, ACLS, Telemetry, ECG reading etc. Their fees are also waaay waaay toooo high for my budget. I was wondering if trainings from that institution based in the US wont be credited in foreign countries too?

Sorry, but that just proves that they are not approved for the US. ACLS is national, and not specific to one state; just like the NCLEX exam is for all states.

Their number means nothing, they do not assign numbers like that over here. The same way that you see review centers with signs in the window that they are approved by the CA BON, first we do not have a BON, we have the BRN, and they do not issue approval to any review center there.

And ACLS training must be done by the American Heart Assn to begin with to be accepted in the US, and it is only good for two years and then needs to be done again. I do not care what any company there is telling you, if the ACLS is required for the facility where you will be working in the US, they will provide it for you. They do not accept any cards from where you are. Period.

Seriously doubt that they are branch of the real American Heart Assn, and again, the course needs to be renewed every two years so will be out od date by the time that you get thru immigration.

Save you money, any course like that will not be honored in the US and it will also be out of date by the time that you get thru immigration procedures.

And if the name is similar, it is not the AHA.

I attended one of their programs. Yes, they claim they are US-accredited. But i doubt it. Most of their programs are VERY EXPENSIVE.
