Navy NCP FY2016 Applicants

Hi!

I noticed there wasn't one for the FY of 2016, and I start my package on Monday to be sent to the boards August 1st. (My recruiter told me the earlier the better). So same thing as the last thread, this will be an area to calm nerves and answer questions. Good luck to all who apply, or are thinking of applying! :up:

I called my recruiter yesterday and he said results should be in sometime this month... Not what I wanted to hear!

Yep just talked to my recruiter. Today is not the day apparently. I was told by the end of this month and I might not even get contacted until December.

Hi everyone! I am a nursing student in Texas. I was in the Navy for 5 years as an Aviation Machinists Mate (worked on jet engines). I graduate Dec. 2015 and applied for FY2016 NCP. I've had a lot of road blocks that tried to get in my way when I was applying but it finally got done in time and now I'm just like the rest of you, waiting on results. Just thought I'd introduced myself. :)

I applied for the 1 year program as I graduate in spring of 2016. my recruiter said my application would be reviewed at the october boards. when can I expect to hear a decision?

Hey everyone. Just thought I would give an update. I did in fact hear news today! YAY for the suspense to end :) I however, did not hear good news :( I was applying for 2017 and there were only 5 spots available so I hope you all applying for 2016 have better luck! I will be trying again next year. Best of luck to you all :)

Blk87, so kind of you to let us all know and sorry to hear the news---but hey, on the bright side, you have another shot at it coming up in no time at all! You can spend time building up your kit and then get right back out there next year. Unfortunately, this is my only chance to make it....I heard applying for DC is near impossible these days so it could be years before I'd re-apply if I don't get in this time around.
