Navy NCP FY2015 Applicants

Published

Hello all! I have been avidly following previous topics about the NCP program and I wanted to start one for those of us who have recently submitted a kit for the NCP program for FY2015. I'm in the Chicago area and my kit is currently being combed over by a processor then will be shipped out for the boards- which aren't convening until Novemeber (according to my recruiter), since they wanted to have more applicants. Hopefully this will be an area to calm nerves and answer questions. Good luck to all who apply, or are thinking of applying!

Well it benefits them to delay signing as long as possible cause as each month passes thats 1k that they save per person.. Maybe that has something to do with it

Hey yall,

I was accepted from the November boards as well on December 17th and I have already signed and taken the oath on January 28th. I just wanted to inform you because I am not sure why mine was so quick and yours was not. Maybe it is something to ask your recruiter when you get a chance.

Wow. I think we all heard on Dec 12. And none of us have gotten close to signing. What all did you have to do (paperwork wise) to sign?

Lsolberg03, congrats! Were you an alternate from a previous board, or was this your first time applying?

TraumaRNhopeful: I honestly cant remember everything because it was about 50 pages worth of signatures. I signed into the program, life insurance, reviewed my physical and a bunch of other paperwork.

KaylaB13: This was my first time applying which is why I was confused what is going on with everyone's paperwork.

Lsolberg03: Interesting. Wishing I was in your position right now! My recruiter hasn't received any info from the program managers regarding contracts and final select notices. Did your recruiter make any mention of how many people they were going to take?

Kaylab13: Sorry my recruiter didn't tell me how many people they were taking

Lsolberg03- Are you in a different program than us? When is your graduation date? For the most part I think we all graduate in either Dec '14 or May '15. My recruiter sent me this, which is a direct email from the Nurse Corp Managers:

1) Official FY-14 NCP accession plans still have not been released, in anticipation of possible Spring/Summer attainment; please remind your applicant that they will be required to provide a Letter of Good Standing that reflects enrolled full time and current GPA before final selections can occur.****Please ensure JPAS is uploaded in CIRIMS now.****

I hate that we are all clueless on all this! Arggg

I am in the same program as you guys. I am in the Navy NCP. I will be graduating May 2015.

Dang, you're lucky for getting in quickly somehow. How long did it take to start getting paid?

I haven't gotten paid yet. I signed two weeks ago and my recruiter sent in all my paperwork. He says it usually takes up to 4 weeks to get the first bonus and monthly payments

At least you signed. Where are you located?
