Hello all! I have been avidly following previous topics about the NCP program and I wanted to start one for those of us who have recently submitted a kit for the NCP program for FY2015. I'm in the Chicago area and my kit is currently being combed over by a processor then will be shipped out for the boards- which aren't convening until Novemeber (according to my recruiter), since they wanted to have more applicants. Hopefully this will be an area to calm nerves and answer questions. Good luck to all who apply, or are thinking of applying!
Hey Dolphins, I deleted the group since I realized that we probably won't have over 10 people in the group. You can add me on facebook though, where I made a chat with Trauma, Kay, #Freckles&Glasses, Me, and two other NCP candidates that aren't on here. Since I can't post the facebook link on here, it is [link]/chrisphan93. You can also find the link to my facebook in my allnurses profile. Add me and I will add you to the chat.
Hey Mbaskwell! Welcome aboard! Since you graduate earlier than anyone I know, you may be shipping out to ODS earlier than the rest of us. The majority of us graduate in May 2015 and probably will go to ODS June, July, and August; you can find the ODS schedule on the accessions website.
What is your first duty station preference?
Thanks! Yeah I am figuring I'll get orders to ODS in May. I'm hoping to get San Diego. I spent 8 years at Camp Pendleton when I was enlisted in the Marine Corps and my wife, who is also in the Marines, just got orders to Barstow Ca. We are going to try and stay as close as we can, but the military isn't great about dual military and duty stations.
Yeah pretty much everyone in our NCP facebook chat is wanting San Diego, so it is gonna be one of the quickest to go.
If any NCP candidate wants to join our facebook chat, you can add me and I'll add you to the chat; since I can't post the facebook link on here, it is [link]/chrisphan93. It is quicker for you to ask questions to other NCP candidates, so you don't have to wait a day or longer for a response, but if you don't want to then it is totally fine.

Haa! Yes Lt. Houston! We lucked out- she was fantastic! I tried for UIC but got wait listed- wasn't smart enough! But I'm in school for a shorter time at ResU so I'm happy about that. When do you graduate/which ODS session do you want to try to go to/ and where do you want to be stationed?
