Navy NCP FY2015 Applicants

Hello all! I have been avidly following previous topics about the NCP program and I wanted to start one for those of us who have recently submitted a kit for the NCP program for FY2015. I'm in the Chicago area and my kit is currently being combed over by a processor then will be shipped out for the boards- which aren't convening until Novemeber (according to my recruiter), since they wanted to have more applicants. Hopefully this will be an area to calm nerves and answer questions. Good luck to all who apply, or are thinking of applying!

Oh wow. That is REALLY frustrating. Just keep reminding yourself you have signed a contract. If they take a little time to get it turned in- that blows- but you've signed. It's official.

I know, I guess whats bothering me is the fact that on the acceptance letter we received it said you had to enlist no later than May 12, which I did, but I just don't know if my paperwork was submitted by then, and if not, i'm hoping it doesn't affect anything

Definitely a valid concern. But since you signed and dated before the 12th- even if they screwed something up and didn't send it in on time or something I'm sure the fact that the paperwork has the right date on it will stand

Yea you would think so, and I would be shocked if that wasn't the case.. I'm going to try to get some answers next week

Was your email from the "OH" email address? My processor told me to contact them leading me to believe my stuff was sent and it is an issue on their end

No. My first email was from [email protected]. I got an email from another woman yesterday saying if anyone from the outside (ie us) emailed them at the OH address it may not have come in bc they had been having problems since 5/18. The email did not imply that any outgoing emails were not delivered (I specifically thought of letting you know, but it says the only thing that hasn't been working was INCOMING mail). Still is worth some investigating. They may be having problems with different email address and not even know it

Great… There was a phone number in our NCP acceptance letter, I was going to call that tomorrow and see if I can get in touch with someone cause yea I didn't have any luck with the OH email.. Did you get any payments yet?

So I got paid today, just under $500, which confuses me. It's neither the 1st or 15th of the month, and I was expecting them to take out a lot more than they did from taxes. So I'm not sure if this was just a randomly late payment, and I'll get paid again (around $500) on Jun 1, or if they literally took out almost $600 in taxes from my full May stipend of $1000. Going to do some investigating...

Oh, and no signing bonus yet

TraumaRNHopeful: I also received that payment. I got a statement in the mail, and it looks like that was the pay for the beginning half of May (pay date listed as the 1st). So I'm sure the rest is soon to follow!

Oh ok, I haven't gotten anything in the mail, so I have no idea what it was for. Hopefully that's only half the payment and not the full $1000. I know A LOT of taxes are taken out just from what my husband used to get taxed when he was in the Army.
