Hi Everyone :)

Just wanted to start a thread for everyone that's applied to the Navarro College ADN-RN program starting Fall 2012.

Figured we needed a place to post, ask each other questions etc. while waiting on our acceptance letters..... I was told they won't be sent out until the end of May. Has anyone else heard otherwise?

I haven't been on here in quite awhile! Has anyone not completed CPR? I haven't and am just worried that I will get in trouble or kicked out??

Caterific... I think if it's complete before orientation everything should be fine :) the sooner the better though...

Thanks Red! Has anyone other than RaeAnn received an email about our schedules?! I'm getting excited again! I haven't even had the chance to think about school since I got my acceptance email because work has been crazy! Thanks for everyone's updates & info!!!!!

I haven't heard anything yet. I emailed one of the ladies in the dept regarding schedules and she promptly emailed me back stating that she would forward my email/question onto the lady in charge of the calendar. Have not heard back. I'll email again next week if I dot get a reply... I feel like I am pestering them :( but I need to know so I can set up my sons childcare arrangements.

Hey guys, just to let everyone know, my FA was processed yesterday and approved. Those of you waiting might want to check or e-mail FA if it doesn't show up soon. I keep checking the website to see if they've posted the refund dates, but there's still nothing there. :madface:

As for other news, I'm still waiting to buy my scrubs and the books until after orientation just so I don't spend too much too soon. I really hate waiting to buy everything, but when you're on a budget, you have to pick and choose what's important at the moment. Nursing supplies/books are incredibly important to me and I would really like to get a head start, but like I said - funding is the issue.

I've purchased my lab kit, so after CPR I should be finished with the main requirements. My husband surprised me with the stethoscope I've been eying and he even had it engraved for me since I've heard that nicer stethoscopes tend to go "missing".

I am so incredibly excited and ready to get started, I can hardly wait for orientation!

Hi Mrskennedy :) What a nice hubby!! I want an engraved one tooooo ;) Is this your first time using FA? I got FA for the spring semester and it paid my tuition bill right away and my books could be purchased 10 days before class started. I didn't get the remaining money until 3-4 weeks before the semester ended. Same thing is happening with my summer FA (I got summer b/c I didn't use fall) I get the remaining balance at the end of July. My FA was processed for Fall as well... I am countin down the days to orientation. I am a "need to know" type gal :)

I guess I better get my stethoscope engraved then!!! I'd be ticked if someone stole it!

And I finally got my CPR out of the way! Yay! Now to just buy my kit and shoes and ill be ready! August 1 is almost here! Oh yeah forgot I going to take nutrition summer 2 :/ Anyone take it online??? I hate online but I gotta work and no time for class.

To all the moms out there I understand my baby girl is only 3 months and its going to be very difficult to leave her! But we all can do it, it just takes a lil hard work and dedication! Like u said Red it's for their future!!! :))

I took nutrition online in a 2nd half semester. Super easy :) all open book. All you have to do is the multiple choice chapter test for each chapter and a 3 paragraph summary of the highlight in the chapter.
