Hi all,
I am applying to the BSN program at national this month & wanted to start a feed to see if there's anyone else out there applying/preparing for TEAS, etc!
By the way I just wanted to introduce myself, I'm Kassandra and I also applied to cohort 55. I did apply to 54 but unfortunately was denied. I took my TEAS again hoping I would score higher, but I ended up submitting my original score of 85 and a gpa of 3.260. From my last application, my essay score was a 4.5 so I decided to keep it. I'm extremely anxious to know whether or not I will be accepted and I really hope that since there are less applicants the cutoff score is lower. Good luck to everyone!
@kassandra99 Hey! Thanks for replying! I did receive a study guide from Bonnie and have been going over it. It's just a vague list of topics and didn't know how deep they really wanted me to go. I spent today learning how to do html, which I have NEVER done in my life. I just don't know what to expect :/
@gabbysilt09 it's definitely very vague I think I just went through the some videos on NU's library system and that was pretty much it. The questions on the test aren't questions that you can really study for cuz it's literally like research tactics. From what I remember there was a small multiple choice section but it was fairly easy. It is a very long test I will tell you that so make sure that you get a good nights rest and have your coffee ready!
How did it go?! I am very nervous about the essay portion. If you don't mind sharing, what was your essay topic?
Aw jeez, I'm sorry, allnurses stopped sending me updates until I just looked now, seeing I'm behind about 3 pages. My question was 'Describe a difficult work situation and how you handled it, also what you learned from it'. I didn't sleep well the night before so I was in a haze as I wrote it. But, considering it was similar to a question I had worked on, I just went with that.
GPA 3.5
Overall Teas of 96.
Is National the only place you applied to? I applied to both National and Cal State San Marcos just in case.
CSUSM are literally the biggest bunch of turds I've ever had the displeasure in dealing with. Twice they've screwed with me, back when they had this awesome rolling application in '09 and attempting to transfer classes to them last summer for the 2018 application. If I could tell anyone that is willing to listen, they do not care what you bring to them unless it is EXACTLY what they want. There is no wiggle.

I know what you mean, I have sent them all the paperwork they ask for and still not enough so I'm really hoping to get into National.

Hey everyone!! Has anyone tested out of ILR 260? I'm hoping to test out in time to apply in April! They gave me a review guide but it is extremely vague and I want to be prepared. I was wondering if anyone had any advise/recommendations to study for the test. Thanks!!
