National University San Diego Cohort 71

Published

Hi Everyone! I wanted to start this Thread since there wasn't one yet for this Cohort.

I am currently applying to this cohort and this will be my first attempt.

Math/Science GPA: 3.9

TEAS: 82.7% (this was already my 3rd retake)

From reading other cohorts stats, don't really feel confident in my scores. But I will hope for the best. I also have 2 years of LVN experience and 3 years of CNA experience.

Good luck to everyone who as also applied! ?

Hi everyone!
GPA: 3.75 | TEAS: 82% I have my interview on the 15th! And I’m feeling so anxious! How are you guys preparing?

Anyone feeling  not so great? I feel like there was nothing I could have done to prepare. Very cut dry interview didn't seem like it made a difference how I answered.

Specializes in Medical surgical telemetry.

Did they ask you about your experience? Or give you chance to talk about why you want to be a nurse? Or about diversity or anything like that? About how long did the whole thing last?

Specializes in Acute Care, Podiatry, Occupational Medicine.

I feel like I over prepared for the interview. Maybe like 2 out of the several questions I practiced were asked. Since I did have LVN experience, most of the questions were catered to that. Let’s just hope for the best, we prepared as much as we could!

The person who interviewed me pulled up my resume so she didn’t really ask about my experience since it already on there. Nothing about diversity. I was asked who Inspired me to be a nurse, if I had difficulty with a class/professor how would I approach it, if I had a support system, how I managed working full time and going to school, and just scenario based questions based on my LVN experience. I joined the call about 15 minutes early, so it probably lasted about 20 minutes. I’m just hoping for the best and I answered as best I could haha. ??

Specializes in Future Nurse.

Just had my interview at 10:15! Im wondering when the last interview is today?

Specializes in Medical surgical telemetry.

I just had mine this morning at 11:00, the person before me was a no-show so it stared 15 minutes early. I think it went pretty well. I forgot to ask when we should expect an answer by??? Anyone know?

I waited about 10 minutes past my interview time and the interview itself lasted a little over 10 minutes. Shocked at how fast it was but she was so nice. Just now freaking if it being short is a good thing or a bad thing ?

It really depends on your answers. The first time I had my interview I took only 10 minutes as well but got a 16/20 which is really good considering I had no med experience at the time and thought I did horrible. They don’t give the score out specifically but the way they gave my score breakdown when I asked, I was able to calculate the total of my interview.

This time, I took all 15 minutes but I’m pretty sure it’s only cuz my interviewer asked me more than 5 and I asked her questions at the end.

@444Kea Yeah she asked me the status quo questions I've seen most commonly. did they ask at the end if you had any questions? I tried to open the dialogue for that but I don't know if she was running behind or something.

I think based on reading last cohorts answers, it looks like they were contacted within the same week? So fingers crossed!

I wasn’t asked if I had any questions, IDK if she was running out of time but now I’m worried. :/ Good luck everyone!!
