National University San Diego Cohort 71

Published

Hi Everyone! I wanted to start this Thread since there wasn't one yet for this Cohort.

I am currently applying to this cohort and this will be my first attempt.

Math/Science GPA: 3.9

TEAS: 82.7% (this was already my 3rd retake)

From reading other cohorts stats, don't really feel confident in my scores. But I will hope for the best. I also have 2 years of LVN experience and 3 years of CNA experience.

Good luck to everyone who as also applied! ?

I think it was way less competitive when she applied. This is a nurse I have worked with for5 years, and she worked in the ED before she came to my unit. I would have to ask her what cohort she was, It was her second career too. The GPA that qualifies you for an interview is from all of your pre reqs, the one they used to give acceptance is the science/math, or at least that’s how I understood it. Her math/science must have been higher. The lvn did not get in with a 4.0, and yes he did have all A+, my understanding is that they only take 10 lvns to interview, he said the interview was a deal breaker and he got in some wait list but ended up going to a different program.

Hi everyone!

A little late joining but this will be my first attempt applying. I have a GPA of 3.8 and TEAS of 85%. I've been in healthcare for about 8 years now. I'm a surgical pathology lab tech but started off as a volunteer (~300 hours) in the maternity ward then interned in the ICU and cardio ward for a few years. This will be my second bachelor's so I'm very nervous given the stats from the previous cohorts.

I've been eagerly checking my email for something and thought we would have heard something by now. Best of luck to everyone! Hopefully we hear something today.

Has anyone heard back from National University Cohort 71 applications? or Palomar?

Nothing yet ? I keep checking my email. Hopefully we hear from them soon!

I applied to Palomar because that’s where I did my pre reqs but I did it with my first TEAS and it was 74% ? so I did get my first rejection email about two weeks ago ? they sent it to my personal email not my Palomar email. Check your spam.
I’m trying to check only once a day to see if I can manage my stress LOL. Hopefully today is the day! But they do have until the 27th to send out emails! Hope we all get in!!

Hi! Thanks for making this thread! I was starting to wig out after not hearing back, yet, so I’m glad I’m not the only one.
I have a 3.98 GPA and a 90.7 TEAS, as well as 2 years of CNA experience in a hospital medical-surgical setting. I submitted my application the day before the deadline so I was thinking maybe I’m last to get email because I applied last!
Hope to see all of you this fall!

Nothing yet ? I checked my NU email several times today...

Another day of no emails ? I was looking at the cohort that applied last May just like us. Their application deadline was May 14th. Emails were sent exactly 2 weeks later on May 28th. I already warned my coworkers that I’d be crying on Friday wether I get an interview or not LOL.

Emails sent out !

4.0

84.7

Slightly above the last 3 cohorts total interview cut-off score.... wonder what the cut off was... post if you find out!

What were the last 3 cut-offs? Did you have any medical experience?

Also I got my interview date!, it’s 3 whole weeks from now :,) I wish it was a little sooner, the wait is killing me.

Anyone lower than 73.88?

73.6 was the last one, 2 prior were above 73

Lowest TEAS for 70 was a 84 and that was with a 4.0

It has been going up a little every time.

No Med experience.
