Greetings! Wondering if there are others who will be applying/have applied for Cohort 56, which would begin October 2018!
If anyone is out there, hopefully this thread will a serve as a place to ask questions, provide insight/advice, vent, celebrate, wallow, etc. :)
For my situation, my prereq's are completed, and have recently completed the TEAS. I submitted the application (which was crazy quick and easy to my surprise), and am just waiting for a date to take my proctored essay.
Hope to speak with fellow applicants of cohort 56 soon!

How and when do we find out what we got for the essay?
Normally its exactly 6 weeks from the test date. I am thinking June 25th is the week they will send out the e-mails. I got alternate for cohort 56, this was my last chance applying and each time the e-mail was sent out exactly 6 weeks on the dot. I have a friend who is applying and we are anxiously awaiting her acceptance letter. Hope this helps!
Essay I feel went well! Only thing I'm nervous about is that the proctor said not to go over 2 pages, and even after proofreading at the end and cutting my essay down to get my closer to the 2 page cut off, I was still about 4 sentences into the third page...anyone know if the graders will dock points for being over 2 pages?
Hi, don't worry about going over. Mine was almost 4 pages and I was accepted into cohort 56. As long as you get your point across that is all what matters. I too was so stressed when I read people/ the prompt said not to go over the 2 pages. But both I and a friend wrote over 3 pages and we both got in. :) Also they should be letting everyone know the week of June 25th. Normally they send out the e-mails exactly at 6 weeks. Hope this helps your stress!!

That helps a lot! Thank you so much!!!
Hello!Welcome to the group! We can all be anxious together! How do you feel about your application if you don't mind me asking?
I feel good! Our pool is much smaller. We only had 56 applicants and are taking 20 with 5 alternates! I have a 3.753 gpa and scored a 90.0 on my teas! I'm dying to know how I did on the essay, but guess I'll know when we get our acceptance/denial letters! I'm
Bummed no one from Fresno responded, so thank you!

Oh my gosh I have the same GPA and TEAS score! Hopefully I get accepted as well! I am kind of scared of my essay, but I think that I didn't do too bad!

That's awesome! I think our scores are pretty competitive. I'm just tired of being stressed out while we wait! Our advisor said essays should be graded by the end of this week, and we should have our letters by the second week of June. I can't wait!

I think for San Diego, they will send out acceptance letters by the end of June. :'( The anticipation is killing me!!!
Hello everyone! I have been reading the comments on this forum and wanted to join in on the conversation! I applied for 56 and like you all hate the waiting! It is almost as bad as the testing itself! I thought the essay went really well, I have a 3.92 GPA and only got a 80 on my TEAS. Wish my TEAS score would have been higher, but it is what it is! Pretty much have to secure a great score on the essay to feel confident about acceptance. I was reading cohort 55's score cut off's and alternates so it's hard to say what to expect for scoring for 56. Good luck everyone! God is good!
Essay question:
does anyone know if you can carry over a previous essay score? I applied for cohort 55 but didn't get accepted. However I scored 5/5 on the essay.
A friend currently in cohort 53 suggested I ask if it's possible to carry that essay score over to my application for cohort 56. I feel pretty good about the essay I wrote last week but would love to carry over that 5/5 score.

I would recommend you ask Elizabeth Stabile because when I did my essay and TEAS some people were there only for the TEAS
