Count me in on the waiting game! The anxiety is almost too much, I am checking me email about every two minutes even though I know it is too soon to get one. Good luck to you both!!!!
What I have noticed is if you log on to the student portal and click on nursing you can see the status of your application. As of now mine says "In Review" but I'm sure as soon as they decide that will be the first thing updated :) I keep checking that!! haha We are the first cohort required to take the TEAS version 5, I am curious to see the scores they are getting this application period.
Hi ABerra13,
I am glad I am not the only one checking the student portal, great minds think alike . I didn't know we were the first cohort required to take the teas v, I am curious about the scores as well. Most people think the teas v version was much harder that the previous versions, myself included.
This was the first time I'd taken the TEAS. I did buy the study guide and I thought it was pretty accurate as to the actual test. I only scored a 73 though . I am hoping my grades and essay make-up for the low TEAS score. I've been reading this website for months and finally decided to join in.
I read all the past posts on other national university threads (yes ALL of them:o) and it seems that the average points for NU were between 83 and 86 since they switched to the point system. I dont know how that will change with the new teas scores, but our proctor during the test said not to be too concerned if your score is low. I feel like I have a lot riding on my essay. I hope the professors grading them were in a good mood that day!!!
I know me too!! When did you take the TEAS?
I dont remember the exact date but it was late April. I have always felt I was a strong writer, but this was my first timed essay and I feel like I totally failed. It is all I can do not to call the nursing department just to see how things are going!!BYW I just checked the student portal; still "in review".
Are you in San Diego
Yeah I took mine end of April as well. I had my whole essay written out before I even went there. And I still used every last minute. I'm just hoping for the best. I didn't realize but I was the first group for this application period, anyways I e-mailed Margie (she was the one that ran my TEAS/Essay session) and she said it was way to early to know anything yet. Boo! So now I don't want to bug her again. I will just continue to check the website...
Yeah San Diego, I live in Rancho Penasquitos. What about you?
