National University BSN Program

U.S.A. California

the anticipation is killing me!! after working hard for 2 years i finally completed my application to national university for their accelerated bsn program. i took the teas 5 just over a week ago and am expecting my acceptance/rejection letter during the first week of june. even though it is just 3 weeks away, it seems like a lifetime! if i am accepted i will be joining the october 2011 cohort. anyone else going to nu during this time?

I am new to this site but have been working towards getting accepted into NU (RB campus). I applied for the April 2012 cohort and results will be in around mid/end of January.

To be blunt, I know I didn't score well enough on the TEAS V to get into the program (I got a 70.6%-on my results it says the average score was a 70% for this version). The test was TOUGH. Surprisingly, I aced the Math sections but didn't do so well in the Life Sciences section. My grades for my core classes break down to:

A/P1: C

A/P1 Lab: C

A/P2: B

A/P2 Lab: B

Micro: B

Micro Lab: B

BioStats: A-

I think I did OK on the proctored essay as I am a fairly decent writer, and I didn't re-attempt any core classes, so I'm not sure where I will end up.

I may just end up re-taking the TEAS to bump my score up. Ideally I'd like to get an 80% or better...any other advice you can offer me would be incredibly helpful!!

Thank you!

Hi ABerra13,

Congratulations on getting accepted into your cohort! I've been reading these threads and wanted to ask you a question about grades (if you don't mind)-

I think I did OK on my essay. Based on what you've seen on these threads, do you think I stand a chance at getting in? I'm so nervous. Any information you can offer is appreciated!!

I applied! I can't wait to see what happens! :)

Congrats on fininshing your pre reqs and testing! I hope you get in! I am working on my pre reqs right now at National! Were your pre reqs at NU reallu hard? I'm nervous.

Hey I wanted to know the next deadline is Feb 10th (for LA) does everything icluding the TEAS need to be in by that date or just the applications & the transcripts?

From my understanding its the application and the transcripts. You have to already be a student at National, have attended their Pre-Nursing Forum, and have had your transcripts evaluated (this take about 4-6 weeks). If you meet all of those prereqs after you apply you are assigned a date to take the TEAS and write the essay.

Hey JakeH,

I applied for the April cohort as well. Have you heard anything yet? I'm dying!!! So nervous! Good Luck!
