Nassau community college Fall 2017

I thought I'd start a forum for Fall 2017

Hi All, Hope everyone is doing well, 12 more days to go and the fun begins right! Can someone in the evening program confirm we have a general nursing orientation tomorrow 24th Aug 2017 starting at 7.30 A.M? Thanks

Hello - Do you mind sharing how many points you had when you applied for the evening program?

Okay so I have two questions which I need opinions for, my first one is regarding summer classes. How stupid would it be to take two summer classes in session 1 and two classes during session 2. I had planned on taking anatomy and physiology 1 during first session and the second one during session 2 with either lifespan development or biomedical ethics. My other question is what are my chances that I would still get into the program spring 2019 if I pass with all A's in all my classes and just need to take one class left which I had planned on doing in the fall but I know it won't count towards point system if that makes sense.

Currently in the program and I still have to take bio ethics and lifespan development. I'm taking them both over the summer. So it is definitely possible to get into the program without having completed all of the pre-reqs. Earlier posts on this thread have our point calculations but remember that it's going to change with every application process based on how many people apply. NCC is becoming a 4 year nursing program so there may be even more of an influx of applicants.

How do we know it's becomign a four year program? I've been trying to keep info on that

My professors in the program have confirmed it, as well as the nursing office. The requirements may be changing, but I'm really not sure.

If it's a bsn that would be Anazing also curious when this is occurring

Did you find anatomy and physiology difficult btw? I'm typically good with that stuff and I'm actually really good at remembering that part of the body in general so I don't know if it would be a bad idea taking them over the summer
