does anyone know what good samaritan hospital in suffern NY starts their new grads with? thanks

Beth Israel Medical Center ADN on day shift 66,500. Some positions are NYSNA but this one is 1199 SEIU. You also receive 100% tution reimbursement after 6 months on the job to any school.

The salary seems a bit low to me but it's hard out there for a new grad these days and the tuition reimbursement is great.

Rochester NY area

Rochester General ADN $22.50/Hour, raised to $26.13 after 1 year of employment. BSN $23.50/hour, same raise

Unity Hospital Systems ADN $22.50/hour, BSN $23.50

with this salaries in ny, i might as well just stay in california, where i can start at 42-50 dollars and hour

omg. R u serious. I had no idea nurses can make that much more $$ in california!...im about to graduate as an rn. Is that something i can possibley be making? Or wats the start of pay as an rn.any idea?

Ok.sooo ur saying that in california you are staring at $25.00 an hr plus if you have no experience and just graduated form rn.?? Cuz sum1 else told me in cali was $40.00 plus?? Is that right?

california here-depending on the location....where i am situated (small city) i started at $25.60/hour (day shift)..we're under cna (union) so every year for 3 years we get a 5% increase in our salary. I've been working at the same hospital for a year now and i make $28.96/hour. Sounds like i'm under paid especially here in ca, but at least i don't have to worry about the commute and traffic. Oh, and i'm also a new grad (no previous experience prior to starting my nursing career-rn). Now, i'm thinking of transferring to kaiser permanente (heard they have good benefits), does any of you know how much they start new grads?:nurse:

last year, Kaiser offered $37/hr for new grads...in the Bay Area. Kaiser pays for the health insurance and your spouse and kids if you have at no extra cost. I might go back to kaiser when I go back in CA, they pay the nurses well. Good luck!

What city of CALI is the Kaiser Hospital in?? Im plannig on moving down there...Have any idea if they pay better to start an RN there then NY?
