  1. LOL. i got a chuckle out of this
  2. physician assistant. as a matter of fact i'm thinking about finishing up my bsn and then going to PA school
  3. This is not always helpful. i called the nurse manager of L&D at this hospital i'm interested in and she directed me to apply through human resources. I know human resources will probably bypass my resume because of no experience, which is why I resorted to contacting the nm.
  4. WOW are you serious about PTAs making more than RNs?
  5. Just wanted to say Good Luck in whatever path you decide to take. i'm curious btw, is this valley health system in ridgewood nj? thanks
  6. does anyone know what good samaritan hospital in suffern NY starts their new grads with? thanks
  7. gosh..i'm in NJ and I really really want to get into peds. thats the only place i know if i get in i'll give my all 100%. i love love love peds. I'm a may 09 grad and i'm becoming miserable. I just dont want to jump at any job because i'm afraid i might end up getting fired because of lack of interest. this already happened at a nursing home job i lost after a month because i was getting bored. please any nj nurses working in peds help. I also applied for a PA and NY license. i'm willing to drive the distance JUST to get into peds.
  8. Congrats op! God closes one door and opens several others. I'm in a similar situation. Got terminated after a month orientation at a nursing home because apparently I wasn't initiative and they got feedback that I had a huge ego -_-. This was the first time ever since being on orientation that I got feeback regarding my performance. Had I had known before I would've tried to change. Sometimes I need outside help to figure out what I'm doing wrong.one of my coworker acted like I was doing fine yet go behind my back and tell the don how I have a huge ego because I'm a RN and what not..very hurtful. I guess that's a welcome to the world of nursing politics.
  9. is their new grad program posted on their website because i didnt see it. thanks
  10. what state are you in?
  11. jrhillborough, thank you for this post! i felt like someone wrote exactly what I felt like inside.
  12. i was told i was too slow to handle such an enviroment taking care of 20 pts
  13. i was fortunate to land a job at a nursing home subacute last month. but i was recently told that i'm not quite ready to be on my own taking care of 20 pts, my orientation can't be extended so they let me go. now the question is, should i put this job on my resume? i mean i learned alot from it. Also what would I say to an amployer if asked why i only lasted there a month? thanks for your help
