My NCLEX Disaster

Published

I don't know if I should scream, throw-up, start drinking heavily, or give up and go to dog-grooming school instead of being a nurse. I was a solid B-student in nursing school. Reviewed for 6 weeks with Kaplan, Saunders, Mosby's, etc. Did extremely well on all "the tests" and now I am wondering why I even reviewed, because NO amount of preparation could have prepared me for the questions I had. I actually had a question about what to teach a guy with sickle cell who had a 3-hour erection! :smokin: How about throwing away the VIAGRA?? :D. But of course that wasn't an option :chuckle

The computer shut-off at 75 so I suppose it figured I was just to freakin' incompetent to go on any further :uhoh3: Now the wait begins.

I think you may be better than you realize. I felt the same way and felt as if "where was I for the last 11 months- I guess I was in the wrong class room" after taking the NCLEX-but all turned out ok...Passed with 75!

Keep your chin up! I am sending you positive thoughts!

All I can say is that I know how you feel............

Been there, done that, and got my license..... :)

You will too! This will probably be the roughest 48 hrs , ever! Well, for me it was.

Sooooo....what DO you teach a sickle cell patient with a three-hour erection????

:uhoh21:

:uhoh3: That is the craziest questions I heard. Did it have to do anything with constriction from the sickle cells? What the H****!!! Now I am scared-testing for LPN Jul 14,04.:rotfl:

Take A Chill Pill. I'm Sure You Did Better Than You Are Giving Yourself Credit For. Relax, Relate, Release!!!!!! It Will Be Oer Soon And You Will Be Doing The Same Thing I Did When I Checked My Results.......looking, Staring At That Little Word "pass". Never Did One Word Mean So Much. But, Everyone Who Has Left The Exam Feeling The Way You Do Passed. So, Keep Your Head Up And All Will Turn Out Right!!!!!!!!

Relax................ :)

Can anyone tell me the answer to the question?

Just try to relax, I am certain you passed, I have never heard of anyone failing W/ just taking 75 questions! Everyone told me that to though, so I can relate, theres no relaxing! That question was crazy! I remember i got a question about some crazy eye disease, it wasnt even in my med-surg book I had to look it up on the internet!!:rotfl: Good Luck Jen- Rn

Sorry, I had to edit/delete this post. I realized after reading a post in another discussion area that posting NCLEX questions in a public forum is not acceptable. I should know better than that :nono:

Hello Everyone,

I just took boards yesterday (WI) I have been violently ill since the whole experience, literally vomiting this a.m. I do not know what to do? I had 92Q and am sure if failed since i got 2 easy questions wrong. Will this automatically fail me? I dont know that I can take this stress, I go from crying to vomiting to throwing up ect and then I start all over.

Anyone pass with 90 or so Q and get no brainers wrong?

Thanks for any support.

Val
