My brain is tired.

Anyone else feeling exhausted? Only a week and a half left of school. Thank God! I can't get my brain wrapped around school anymore and I have a test tomorrow, finals next week. Whew! I'm whooped!

And boy am I ever being short with people. My patience seems to be shot too! I had a telemarketer call the house tonight and I let her have it. I did warn her 3 other times not to call my house though.

It's almost over though. Then, a nice long hot bath and a bottle of wine, topped off with a good nap so that I can get the house cleaned up before Spring! What are you all doing to celebrate the end of yet another semster of school???

Take care!

Suzi :)

Me too. Celebrate? Hmm, can I go to a spa for a day and get an hour long massage? How about getting my toes done? I haven't even been inside a salon since August last year.

Specializes in OB, lactation.

I can't wait to just sleep in and not have some project hanging over my head... except the 100 things I want to accomplish around the house over the break (which I never end up doing :)

I'm mainly just looking forward to family time before starting my last semester.

Specializes in Med Surg/Tele/ER.

So is mine!!! I have one more clinical w/evals, two finals, one reflection paper, an oral presentation,& the HESI exam left this semester. I plan to sleep, sleep, & sleep some more :lol2: before I start my last semester! I cannot believe its almost over! May can't get here quick enough.

It is all worth it. Fredrick Douglas quote with out any struggle there is no progress. Keep up the good work.

Specializes in start in NICU 7/14/08.

I am so ready for a break! To make matters worse, I've come down with bronchitis and laryngitis to keep my last couple weeks of school even more interesting!

I went to the doc last week and he prescribed a cough medicine with codeine - 4xs/day - I was like...uhm...with work and school I don't have time for codeine. His reply, you're sick you need to rest (needless to say most of the rx is sitting on the kitchen table and will probably end up down the drain before school is done).

edit: as I hit reply, I just picked up a jar of PB off my desk and tried to take a drink out of it - I think my brain really is fried!

Are you lying to us about taking that codeine? :rotfl:

Studies show peanut butter juice is good for the soul.

It's also good at getting gum out of your hair.

And for getting your dog to down a pill.

Hey...give the codeine to your dog!

Woogy

Specializes in Emergency/Trauma.

Codeine to the dog! :chuckle Now, who's brain is fried?:rotfl:

My brain is also totally, absolutely gone. :lol_hitti Two more weeks for me and it's all over! :yelclap: For this semester that is.

I had two quizzes today, then a two hour lecture. Tomorrow I have a quiz over what was lectured on today. I still have two more weeks of clinicals, three quizzes, two tests, one final, and one speech (on an ethical dilemma, none the less). More than enough to keep me busy for two weeks!

What will I be doing over my break? Well, after I trash my computer and Celebrate passing my first semester of nursing school, I going to catch up on my sleep for a very long time:  After all of that, my poor family might actually get to see me! Imagine that, your daughter does actually exist, hasn't been kidnapped, and has survived the first semester of nursing school! :yeah:

But then, I'm a person that loves to go and go and my project list for my break keeps getting longer and longer. Then, just today I found myself thinking about how much fun it will be next semester! I then thought that maybe it would be wise to pass one semester before thinking about the next one... But, hey, we're all a crazy bunch for doing this, aren't we? :lol_hitti :selfbonk:

I have my LAST FINAL on Monday......well, then there is that little itty bitty test they call NCLEX, but from my experience our school's test are much harder than any thing you see on NCLEX (as reported from past grads - our college has a 97.8% pass rate on 1st try). So while I have a 3.7 GPA I'm still nervous about achieving a 70% on the final - I need a 90 to keep my A. But funny I'm not worried about the A - I just want to pass and get the hell OUT!

Good Luck to All!!!

I know exactly what you mean. Finals for me start Wednesday and I am doing everything that I can think of not to sit down and study. I am even tempted to clean my house. Friday is my worst exam, Nursing Research and I am so consumed with getting a good mark in that class that I haven't even touched the exam that I have Wednesday. I am tired, and stressed, but still in a good mood.

Good Luck to everyone studying for there finals

Exactly 7th months, I can't wait.

Well it was when I posted this . . .

Specializes in OR.

Wow, it seems like so many of you guys are finishing a lot sooner than us. We have our final exam on the 19th, and ATI testing on the 20th. Our last day of clinical is the 16th.

Specializes in Med/Surg <1; Epic Certified <1.

I'm still working on prereqs and waiting to get IN to a program (hopefully next Fall), but you guys are inspiring!!

I have an A & P II written AND practical this week and a cumulative final next week and here I sit.

As someone else mentioned, I am managing to do anything BUT sit and study....I just can't wrap my head around it...it's the time of the year that there's 3,000 other things I'd rather be doing, the weather is making me just want to crawl back in bed, and the end of another LONGGGGGGGGGGG semester....

Good luck everyone! Hang in there!!
