I re-took the NCLEX-RN again for the 3rd time on Monday. I was positive I failed. I sat trying to see the screen because my vision got blurry when it shut off at 75?'s and wanted me to do the exit survey. I just kept saying to myself, "NO! I want more questions. Don't give up on me yet, I can pass this thing!!!" I came home, wrote the board of nursing as well as my boss asking what steps I need to take to test for an LPN license until I could manage to pass the for my RN (been a CNA since first taking it in July).
Tonight at work a very nice RN was giving me the 'pep talk' about "It isn't over until it's over. You can't count yourself out until you actually know... I thought, no was sure, I had failed too... blah blah blah..." While she was talking I was looking on the internet finding the 800# to call just to show her I WASN'T listed in the registry as a licensed RN in our state when I heard, "The RN, R-A..." That was as far as I got. I said, "OH MY GOD!" Hung up... dialed again and made her listen to see if she heard what I heard... SHE DID!
I FINALLY PASSED!!!! I AM an RN! I called my husband at 4am and needless to say, he was NOT upset that I woke him up. He and my daughter called everyone they could think of just to find out that I had already Text messaged everyone. He he he.
Well. Just had to share my story with everyone.
