    Hi aleena23, You can go online and check the website of American Heart Association and the click on CPR/ECC class connector and it will ask you to enter your zip code. You can find your nearest BLS location there... I am including the link for you http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=3011764 To be on safer side, AHA BLS certifications are widely approved....And my understanding is being first time for the certification you may have to actually go in...   2. NurseCubanitaRN2b, Why don't you do your home work before making inflammatory comments??? Foreign educated nurses are well trained in their respective countries, and are passionate about what they are doing. And if we are RNs or whether we have taken RN refresher....we have to meet the pre requisites as all other Nurses here. Also FYI, we have to be a permanent residents even before applying for this. So nobody is getting any free pass as you think/commented.... JJG

    CapeCodmermaid, Thanks for your reply, do you know of any LTCs with subacute unit in bay area? I applied to couple of LTCs here, but it seems they are not hiring RNs.
  9. i have completed my Nclex_Rn and i want to start working. As i dont have experience i find it difficult to get in to a hospital....do you think its a good idea to start in an LTC? Do they hire RNs? And anybody know of any LTc that is hiring in bayarea? I will appreciate any info/suggestions. JJG
  10. Hey guys i have not been hired not because of my English, infact i had 7.0 in IELTS, but because i dont have any working experience in U.S. Also i was out of bed side since my baby which is almost 3 years...so i hope that explains.

  13. Hi, I am a nurse in bayarea who completed all licensing exams, have work permit..but still doesnt have a job. To be honest, i am totally frustrated. I tried calling many employers for my disappointment. Should i go with a recruitng agency? Or should i look for a SNF to begin with? Somebody plz advice. JJG
