Orchestral or piano (no-lyrics) classical music, or dead silence.
The boringness of classical music (sorry, I know some people love it, but it bores me senseless!) is enough to keep the distraction-prone part of my brain busy, so that the rest of my brain can just focus on what it needs to be doing. And because the distraction itself is boring as sin, that ADHD part of my brain doesn't become overly interested in the distraction itself (whereas if it were '80s rock or current country, I'd be busy singing along and not studying).
And classical music is dirt-cheap!

Just curious to see all of your study habbits and whether or not you are able to listen to music or use noise generators like white noise, etc while doing textbook readings for comprehension. I am looking into trying this out but I just do not want to end up reading an entire chapter or two and not comprehending anything.
