MUSC ABSN Spring 2015

Published

Hi everyone!!!

I wanted to go ahead and make a thread for MUSC's Spring 2015 hopefuls. I know it is a little bit early to start this thread, but I am just so excited. I am looking forward to everyone stats and encouragement for each other. Looking forward to the results!!!

It just depends on how many people decline or defer acceptance.

Hi there, welcome to the forum and congrats on being an alternate. I heard there are very high chances for those on the alternate list, but I don't know any more than that. Maybe the students that are already in the program can answer from their experiences.

Good luck to you!

Moca,

is that link back up that shows everything by. Current status. Can you post link. I forgot how to access it.

Thank you both! Now I just have to try and relax and wait it out...

I just got off the phone...I got accepted! Now since I am out of state I got to think about tuition and housing

Congratulations! I know that is a huge weight lifted off of your shoulders. Being accepted esp since you're out of state, is no easy feat! :)

I need help with housing and direction on where to live because I dont even know anyone in SC...excited any ways!

Hey! I just checked and I don't see it on the website. It appears that they have re-vamped their website with updates, etc. so maybe they are still working on it? I will continue to look for it every day and report back with any updates!

Downtown Charleston = very expensive $$$$$

Mount Pleasant = expensive $$$$

West Ashley = kind of expensive $$$

Summerville / Ladson / Goose Creek = very do-able and most people prefer to live in these areas $$, but can be a pain trying to drive down I-26 in the mornings so that's something to think about

North Charleston = the cheapest, but not the best area to live $

hope that helps out some.

One last question for those of you who have been accepted.. When is the cut-off date to reserve/pay the deposit fee?

Moca csn you acces the reports from work, it still won't show up on my computer. Wondering if any one declined or deferred.

I signed up for phlebotomy if I don't get in ... maybe that will help.

Not sure your budget, but I've lived in Mt. Pleasant for 4 years, moved 3 times, rent has been between 1059-1400 for 2 bedroom apartments. So you know when you are looking. If you need more specific recommendations let me know. Living in Mt. P, I can get downtown in 10-15 minutes easily. Not a bad commute at all. I'd rather pay higher rent to live closer to where I need to be than live up the interstate and deal with AWFUL traffic to spend less on rent. It's a trade I'm willing to take. Happy to help!

I haven't received my letter yet so I don't have any info about the cut off dates.
