  1. Not sure your budget, but I've lived in Mt. Pleasant for 4 years, moved 3 times, rent has been between 1059-1400 for 2 bedroom apartments. So you know when you are looking. If you need more specific recommendations let me know. Living in Mt. P, I can get downtown in 10-15 minutes easily. Not a bad commute at all. I'd rather pay higher rent to live closer to where I need to be than live up the interstate and deal with AWFUL traffic to spend less on rent. It's a trade I'm willing to take. Happy to help!
  2. I'll be seeing you all in 2015!! :)
  3. Only one way to find out
  4. I've asked my sister to call around 2 just to see if they have decided. I can't bear to call myself, it makes me sick to my stomach to think about it. I'll let you know if she gets any information from them then. Holy Moly.
  5. yes! they they offer a relatively affordable health insurance option as those things go. That information will be in the enrollment package upon acceptance. I can't remember what kind of prices and variety they offered, but I remember the coverage wasn't half bad...it is a medical facility after all. No worries :)
  6. I haven't been able to pull it up and I have tried on 4 different computers and browsers. Maybe they took it down to update it ?
  7. You most definitely need that Resume/CV to make your application complete. Without it, they have no record of your work/volunteer/medical experience. I would call them to check on your application, but it unfortunately may be a factor in your acceptance. My sister, now in the program, knows there are sticklers in the admissions for the nursing program. They have eliminated applications for misspellings in essays, incorrect dates between the transcript and online application, etc. Call and check and see if you can resolve it. I'd hate for that to be the reason you don't get considered!
  8. My sister posted this on her Spring 2014 Thread last year: "3.6 overall, my prereq GPA is largely incomplete because three of the courses are in progress, but I've taken Micro and A&P and got Bs in both. I volunteer at the Children's hospital but do not work in the medical field. I'm hoping that my background is different enough to make me stand out... I studied English and Biosci in college and have worked as a retail manager since graduating. My references are very strong and my essay is great, I just worry about the incomplete elements in my grade book."
  9. Hey all- I'm Laura, I've been silently keeping track of this thread for a while, but now that the date of acceptance is getting closer and closer I can't stay silent anymore. To make this waiting process more grueling, my sister got information about her acceptance last October 16th. She started Spring 2014. If her process is any reflection of our class of potential students, then we are 2 weeks away. Oh dear. Also following up @musckim, Rachel Plauche is no longer with the program for questions/reviews. You need to be in touch with Lyla Hudson at [email protected]
