Hi everyone!!!

I wanted to go ahead and make a thread for MUSC's Spring 2015 hopefuls. I know it is a little bit early to start this thread, but I am just so excited. I am looking forward to everyone stats and encouragement for each other. Looking forward to the results!!!

Congratulations to everyone that is aware of their acceptance thus far. I am just an observer following your post that will start an ADN program in the Spring 2015 at Midlands Tech. I am still overcome with joy from my own acceptance and everytime I see someone accepted to a program, the feeling I first felt when I received mine starts over again. It has been a long road getting to where I am and I applaud you all for sharing your stories good or bad, .... Good luck to all those on the alternate list and those still waiting to hear. Just remember to keep pushing foward no matter what...

Any way that someone can send me the syllabus for the first semester??? I would like to see what the required reading looks like before we start. Having said that, I have most of the books we need already in electronic format. Once I upload them into my Google drive I will post a link where you all can access it for your use. This should help you all save money and your backs because having to carry all these books will do just that.

Prepare to salivate!!! Your taste buds will be engrossed with the succulent taste between umami and savory. Here are the first set of books for our class. If you do not have google drive please download it to your computer or add it to your smart phone and tablets. I used google drive to store these books in. Anyone who wants access to these books needs to send me the e-mail address you used to set up your google drive account. I will then send you a link with an invitation into our drive. Some of the books are in pdf format, mobi format, or epub format. If you want to view these books just do a search on how to open the three various types of book files. Here is my disclaimer. Please keep in mind that these books are copy right material so I changed the names of the books just a little to avoid detection. Whatever you do to these books after you download them is not my problem. I am not responsible for anything you do illegal or not.

Going to bed at 2200 hours (10 p.m.) because I have to wake up early. Got to work my 12 hours at MUSC. Any request after this time will be taken care of tomorrow when I get home between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. In the mean time you can still set up your google drive if you don't have one and also find out how through google search about opening the 3 types of files I mentioned before. -Leo

Has anyone received the actual letter yet? I'm still waiting on mine to arrive but I was told on the phone I was accepted.

Nope. Probably tomorrow. I think they were mailed Wednesday evening

It's funny because I expected my letter to come Friday or Saturday. I live like 10 minutes away...but I have a feeling I will get my letter tomorrow afternoon. And when I talked to Shelly Drake she said they were mailed late Wednesday afternoon.

mocapoca did Shelly say letter or package as in all the forms and such? Hopefully we get whatever they send us today. Anybody please post when you get something.

Hi everybody! I'm new to the forum. Congrats to everyone who has gotten in and my fingers are crossed for everyone on the forum in the alternatives list.

I got onto the alternative list. I called this morning and there are 23 on the list. Does anyone know, on average, how many get in from the alternative list? I know dreamMUSC said everyone on the list got in from Fall but I don't know if that is an exceptional case.

Hi Irbersamina, you know I responded to your inquiry on the MUSC spring 2015 facebook page, but for those who are following us here on allnurses.com, Shelly only mentioned that the 'letters' went out late Wednesday afternoon. She didn't mention any other forms. I will be leaving work on lunch break to check my mail. Will let you know if I got anything!

Hi there, welcome to the forum and congrats on being an alternate. I heard there are very high chances for those on the alternate list, but I don't know any more than that. Maybe the students that are already in the program can answer from their experiences.
