MUSC ABSN Fall 2018

Published

I am currently in the process of applying to Musc's Absn program for fall 2018! I was wondering if anyone else is applying and what you stats are/will be before the application is due!

I feel pretty confident with them. I've done both types of classes before. Sometimes it can help to work on online courses with someone. I like the flexibility of online courses and fro what I've read MUSC really works with their students to keep them on track for graduation. I was reading that one class only had one person drop out of the program and that was due to personal reasons not related to issues with the classes or passing. I'm pretty excited to know more about everything! I saw the email that just came across about acceptance letters being put in the mail this Wednesday and Thursday so we should know more next week!

What exactly did the email say? I got an acceptance email but nothing about acceptance letters being mailed

I'll copy it below. It was odd that she sent me an email because all I said back to her was a quick thank you for letting me know I was accepted and I looked forward to receiving the letter in the mail lol! I guess she just wanted to let me know.

"Hello,*

** Sorry for the late replay letters went out Wednesday and Thursday of this week you should be receiving it soon."

I'm kind of worried about the online classes mainly because they combine pathophysiology and pharmacology into one online class, so I guess we'll see how that goes.

A quick update for everyone. I received my acceptance package today. It was mostly information on having the matriculation fee paid, and not a lot of information regarding financial aid. Most of the information included can easily be found on their website.

Likewise, I received my package today too. I live in NC if that helps anyone

Dang, I was hoping there would be some information. I haven't checked my mail yet but I'm pretty sure I didn't get it today and I live in Charleston. Hoping it comes soon lol.

Congrats to everyone who got in!! I got waitlisted and was wondering if anyone could tell me the date you all have to give an answer/deposit by?

April 13 is the date listed on the paperwork! Hopefully a spot will open up soon!

Has anyone started a Facebook group for this cohort?

I just visited MUSC yesterday (for the first time after my acceptance) and loved it!

I don't think they have. I saw it before I applied but I've kind of wanted to go back and take another look but thought that might be a bit too enthusiastic haha! Has anyone heard anything from financial aid? Or when we need to get the addition items done (vaccines, drug screen, etc.) I was so hoping they'd give us more information in the acceptance letter but they didn't. T.T

I was told that we'd be getting more information on things like vaccines and the other requirements after the acceptance deadline on the 13th. I went down and talked to financial aid last weekend. If it's your second bachelor's degree, then it's mainly the subsidized and unsubsidized stafford loans (Which total 7,500 if you are granted the full amount) and then the rest either comes from the Parent Plus loan or private loans. All of the scholarships and loans that the school promotes had deadlines of March 1st (of course it's before we even knew!).
