MTSAC's lottery number (2010)

I just received my lottery number and I am number 926! I applied November 2009.

I just wanted to put the information on here so we can see how far we are along the list. I know that some people will pick other programs, change majors, etc and hoping my number will go down. But 929 is very high and seems that I wont get in for years.

Here are the numbers that I got some someone else.

I also applied on march 2009 and just got my latest position. I am number 101. I thought the latest lottery drawing was for the fall 2010 term. The latest drawing was for the spring 2011? I am confuse. :confused:

I thought there will be another drawing for the spring 2011 and I will surely get in for the fall 2011.

Are you sure dd72 that the spring 2011 if filled? That means I won't get in until spring 2012.:crying2:

Okay...when I called to find out if the updated lottery positions included those applicants that were selected for Spring 2011, I was told, "No." I think that we will receive an updated lottery position letter every time that new applicants are entered into the database. However, the important months for us will be in January and May. So DD and Mommabear, I think that you will be in Spring of 2011.

Does that make sense to you guys, or am I completely off?

They have not select students for spring 2011? If this is the case then 60 or so more students will be selected for the spring 2011 and I will for sure be accepted for the fall 2011. Is this right?

Hey, I received my letter last week and I am number 448 on the waitlist. I also applied March, 2010. I called the nursing department and the lady told me that my approximate waiting time should be about 3-4 years :eek:. I was hoping I would get in within two years. I see that your number is right behind mines so we are on the same boat! Good luck and keep me posted with your updated numbers! :)

My number is 101. I apply back in spring 2009.

I am not sure if this latest drawing is for the spring 2011.

HI Kim, seriously?? they said 3-4 years wait? woooOOwzerz. that is so long. i could have my BA and MA in that time if i would just change my major.

hi zeroburns.. do you know if Mt. sac reduce there enrollment of students down from 60?

Hi Everyone,

OK, so I called the nursing Department and they said that the class for Spring 2011 has not been selected. So that was my bad and when you call make sure you speak to --------. She knows everything better than most. So the next letter will be in January and in these letters it will have the 60 selected for Spring. So, I will be starting in Spring!!!!! :):):):):):):):) Spring Semester starts in Middle February. I hope this clears up some confusion and is good news to some of you.

You will be starting in Fall!!!!!!! :):):):) Because you get 101-90 =11. So your next letter will be in January and then in May. In the May letter it should tell you that you are starting in August-Fall-2011:yeah:

I feel much better now. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I am so excited, can't wait for fall.

Keep us updated dd on how things go during your first semester. I'm sure others, including myself would love to see how you are doing and what to expect once we are in the program.

Great! I am so happy for you and I am so happy too. I cant stop smiling. I will definetly post everything, I promise. In that way you guys can have a heads up. You only have 11 more months to go, which will go by so fast. Save some money, maybe some top ramen because I know I am going to be very tight budget for a while. It will all be worth it in the end.

Do you think I should get the Pharmacology and the Nursing Process - Text and Study Guide Package and Calculate with Confidence textbook to get a jump start. I know pharmacology is the first class to take so is this a good idea?
