  1. Apgar--I know what contingent means. In your previous post (if I'm not misinterpreting) you said that upon completion and passing the teas test students will be lined up according to their lottery number to see whether they are in for fall, spring or as an alternate. My letter states that I've been selected for admission into the "FALL 2011 SEMESTER" so doesn't that mean I will be placed into the fall semester once I pass the teas? Plus I also called and confirmed that I was accepted despite of passing or not passing the teas. The only difference is that not passing would mean I have to take remedial courses during the program.
  2. Apgar10--Omg...this whole entire time I thought I was selected for sure. Because on the letter it says "you have been selected for Fall 2011 contingent on passing the teas exam..." So doesn't that mean they've already selected me for the fall? Now I'm worried about being an alternate! =O Thanks for letting me know ahead of time though!
  3. haha Apgar thats what my boyfriend told me! I noticed that passing rate is quite low (62%). I know I shouldn't be so worried since I passed the teas 3 with a 80% I should be fine with this version (hopefully) as long as it has the same content.
  4. Has anybody taken teas test, version V yet? I've taken version 3 and now they're making me retake it! And I only have one week to study. I'm scheduled to take it next Wednesday ahhh...Kind of nervous, I've heard the test has gotten alot harder compared to the older versions. Is that true? Debating if I should purchase the practice tests on the ati website. Any suggestions??? I know I need serious review with chemistry and biology. By the way, what happens when a student doesn't pass the teas exam? Will they automatically be dropped, given that they were already selected for the program?? Will they be given a second chance to take the teas if they do fail? Please help!
  5. hmm..I actually don't see any emails in the letter. I guess I'll wait until tomorrow and try to call again. Thanks again!
  6. Thanks Jama! Do you still have the email address of the nursing director?
  7. help!! does anybody know the difference between teas version 3.0 vs. 4.0? I called the nursing department today and was told that my test scores from teas version 3.0 (that I took back in 2009) is not acceptable, however version 4.0 is acceptable =[. The lady I spoke to did not sound like she was so sure of it though..so I'm thinking of calling again just to make sure. Maybe try to talk to the nursing advisor instead? I've already scheduled to take the teas in a few weeks, but it would be great to know that I don't have to retake it again! Please let me know if you do know anything about it! Thanks!!
  8. Thanks guys! I took version 3.0 do you know if that's still acceptable?
  9. Yay!! I just received my letter today. I'm still so shocked that I got in! So excited and can't wait until orientation. By the way, does anyone know if I can submit my teas test scores from 3-4 years ago? I took it awhile back and I think I've heard recently that they've came out with a teas version V so I'm a little concerned. Hopefully I don't have to retake it. I will definitely call tomorrow when I have a chance, but if anyone can answer my curiosity now that would really help alot! Thanks!
  10. I haven't received my letter yet. So I'm guessing I didn't get in...this is so devastating ='[
  11. Ahhh! So I'm guessing acceptance letters get mailed out this week? So nervous! Good luck to all of you!
  12. Have any of you guys received a letter stating your updated number? I haven't received mines yet, when I called last month the nursing department told me they will be sent out at the end of February. Please let me know if theres any updates! Thanks!
  13. Hello everyone, I am applying to Copper Mountain College this October, but I am not quite sure how everything works there. Does anybody know the average GPA to get into the RN program? My GPA is not so great, so i am crossing fingers. Also, how does the waitlist work? Does everybody (people who did not get accepted, but met the general requirements) get placed onto the waitlist?? If so, does anybody know how long their waiting list is as of today? I've applied to Mt Sac and my wait there will probably be for another two years until I get in. So I am wondering if Copper Mountain College has similar rules.
  14. Hello everyone, I am applying to the RN program at Copper Mountain College this October. I am looking at their requirements and have just downloaded the application. However, I am unsure of whether or not I have to apply to the school first before applying to the program. Does anybody out there know? Also, does anybody know anything about the waitlist, such as how many students are currently waiting? I just applied to Mt Sac and was placed on their waitlist. My wait there will probably be for another two years, which is a very longggg time. So I am hoping it's a shorter wait time here at Copper Mountain College. Please let me know, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
  15. Hey, I received my letter last week and I am number 448 on the waitlist. I also applied March, 2010. I called the nursing department and the lady told me that my approximate waiting time should be about 3-4 years . I was hoping I would get in within two years. I see that your number is right behind mines so we are on the same boat! Good luck and keep me posted with your updated numbers! :)
