VN program at Copper Mountain College, CA
Just curious to know if anyone has applied to the VN program at Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree, CA. I'm waiting to hear back from them and I'm just a little nervous. I'm wondering if they have a ton of students on the waiting list. I could never get anyone on the phone to ask them

California Career College LVN program
Hello, Has anyone out there attended California Career College on Owensmouth in Canoga Park, CA for their LVN program? I'm thinking of enrolling to their LVN program but I would like more information on their program. If you did attend, did you have a hard time passing the NCLEX exam after completion? Any information on the program is appreciated. Thank you.

Copper Mountain College Nursing Program in California
I've posted a question about Copper Mountain College before and I'm hoping someone can answer my question. I will be applying to the program this Fall and I was hoping to find someone who has attended the program or is currently attending for some feedback. If this post applies to you, can you tell me what your experience was or is with the program specifically at Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree, California? Were you accepted right after applying to the program or did you wait on the waiting list? Any information you can give me would be appreciated. I am currently living in the San Fernando Valley but will be relocating if I can get into this program. I am specifically interested in this program because it seems away from the hustle and bustle and I'm hoping that means not a lot of people will be applying. The current wait time for the programs in the San Fernando Valley is 3 to 4 years and I cannot wait that long since I am definitely on crunch time to get this done as soon as possible. Thank you :)

did i fail the nclex today?
What does the Pearson Vue trick mean? I'm still a pre-nursing student and thought I'd ask since it might benefit me once it's time to take the NCLEX test. Thank you and good luck to you. I'm sure everyone feels just as nervous.

Is becoming an LVN first instead of an RN a good idea?
Thank you for responding. I figure I would have a higher chance of getting into the LVN program as oppose to the RN program since there are a ton of people trying to get into the RN program. I'm just so worried about waiting years to get in.

Is becoming an LVN first instead of an RN a good idea?
Hello, I am getting ready to finish my pre-reqs to finally apply to the RN program at the city college however the closer I get to applying I'm realizing that it could be years till I become an RN. The waiting list is outrageous everywhere. I have done my homework and called about every city college in California that offers an RN program and all but one have a 3 to 4 year wait. Lately I have been thinking about just becoming an LVN while I wait to be accepted into the RN program however I am a little confused and I'm not exactly sure if that's the right thing to do. Is there anyone out there who became an LVN first while they waited to be accepted into the RN program? I would love to hear from you. I definitely need some advice as I find myself getting discouraged at times. Thank you

Carmen, Do you know if you are allowed to apply to both programs? LVN and RN at Copper Mountain? Also if you complete the LVN program at Copper will you need to start the RN program from scratch if you do get accepted? I called the school with these questions but I'm waiting to hear back from them. (Hope I make sense lol)

Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree
Hi thank you for responding. I called and spoke to someone in the nursing department and they said it's fairly quick to get in. Not sure if she was just saying that to make me happy. I'm not too concerned about the low gpa because I've worked my butt off to receive pretty good grades but I'm just worried I will have to wait forever to get into the program. I guess it wouldn't hurt to apply for LVN while I wait to get in if all else fails. Good luck to you as well :)

Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree
Thank you very much for your feedback. I've never been out that way but it sounds amazing! My husband was a Marine and was living in Yuma and he hated it so he's a little worried about living in Joshua Tree. I told him nothing is as bad as Yuma so we should be fine he he he he! (no offense to anyone from Yuma). We do enjoy hiking and it sounds like Joshua Tree has some amazing trails. Regardless, I am still moving out there if I should get into the program. It sounds like it's my only choice in order to finish school soon. Thanks again. P.S- Rock climbing is definitely something I would love to try and would most likely enjoy :)

Thank you for your response. I am hoping that I do get accepted right away. What do people normally do out there for fun? and what cities are best to live in?

Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree
I guess I'm just concerned about where I would be living if I did get into the program out there. I am not familiar with the area so I'm not too sure on what cities people live in that attend this school. Thank you so much for your reply :)

Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree
Hello Everyone, I am getting ready to apply to the nursing program this Fall and after months of research I was able to find a school in the high desert here in Southern California that offers the RN-ASN program with no outrageous waiting list. I am currently in the San Fernando Valley and the waiting list for the local schools out here is about a 3 to 4 year wait. I've been in school for far too long so I am determined to finish this as soon as possible. I am willing to move anywhere as long as I don't have to wait 3 to 4 yrs. My initial question is, Did anyone out there attend Copper Mountain College for the nursing program? Also, is anyone out there currently attending Copper Mountain for the program? I just need some feedback since I am not familiar with the school or the area. My last question is if you are from the area what cities are best to live in? I Googled Joshua Tree and it seems very isolated which isn't necessarily a bad thing considering I am sick and tired of the hustle and bustle of the city. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks a ton!
