Greatlash, No, the HESI is not difficult at all. The most difficult portion is the Anatomy/Physiology portion. If you get the HESI review booklet, it is almost identical to the test that you will be taking, except for the Chemistry, Science, and Physics portion. Mt Sac does not test on those sciences, so you don't need to go over them. Good luck!

zeroburz3, did you find out whether you were accepted into the program? Or will you be an alternate for the orientation? Also, do you know how many people they had to move through to get their lucky 60 acceptances? The "waiting" part is the hardest!

MTSAC's lottery number (2010)
I think so...but remember, there are always quite a few that defer or have been accepted at another program and still have their name on Mt Sac's waiting list...until they get their acceptance letter and have to remove it...it is possible for you to get in. Remember, last time our numbers dropped by 93. Sorry, I don't know the average, though.

I called today to find out what the cut off was for acceptance letters, and she said that she sent out 60 acceptance letters and 60 alternate letters. She said that if those that were accepted don't respond or defer, their spot will go to those who were selected as alternates. I am really excited for you zeroburnz:yeah: Keep your fingers crossed!

Okay...when I called to find out if the updated lottery positions included those applicants that were selected for Spring 2011, I was told, "No." I think that we will receive an updated lottery position letter every time that new applicants are entered into the database. However, the important months for us will be in January and May. So DD and Mommabear, I think that you will be in Spring of 2011. Does that make sense to you guys, or am I completely off?

Hello, I called the nursing dept. today to see if they would be cutting the program admittance down to 50 students per semester. She told me, no. So now I am really confused. I guess we will just have to keep our fingers crossed and wait. However, she said that the updated letters would go out the third week of September, and they are running a little behind.

Mt Sac Spring 2010
luv4life1997, The HESI is not hard at all. Just get the HESI A3 study guide, and you will be fine. The A&P portion is the most difficult. The English and math portion is very basic.
