Mt. Sac nursing 2017

Published

Hi guys,

I just submitted my application to Mt. Sac just a few days ago. I know they are taking applications until Sept. 1, 2016. This application period is for a start date Spring 17'

I'll be posting any updates on here, hopefully others will also contribute to their experience or updates on their process.

Thanks for the feedback guys! So it's turns out I only have 70 points. So super sad and disappointed. I did all my prerequisites at my sac so I definitely was hoping on getting in. I guess I probably never will since the competition is only going to get more intense. Congrats to all who are on their way, what a great feeling it must be! It's been a stressful long road, not sure on giving up:cry: Curious if anyone ever got in at mt sac with 70 points:(
Dont give up just yet nothing is set in stone till November some people may drop because Mt. Sac was their second choice school. Also there are always ways to improve in the point system. One of my friends went to get her bachelors before applying and this raised her score by 10 points. Also 200 volunteer hours will give you 5. And working to raise your GPA to 3.6 or better. Getting an LVN license first and taking the advanced track will be another route you can take. There will be another application period in Jan. And many more after that use this time to improve. Don't give up. Keep working hard you can do it!

Great advice. Thank you

Did you ever call the nursing dept. to ask if they'll still be sending out counseling invites even after this week :( ?

I did actually, they are pretty much done:/

Hello All,

I am currently taking Anatomy to raise my GPA to raise my points to 77 to apply for Fall 2017. I'm not sure if that will be enough and I'm wondering if I should register for physiology next semester too just in case. So my question to those who got in for spring: What were your points? Did they mention what the cut off point score was for this semester?

I know most won't know till November, so I would really appreciate any responses when you all find out. Thanks in advance, and congrats to you!

Note: I am taking Anat 10A now.

I had previously taken: Anat 35 with a C, Anat 36 with a B, and Micro with an A.

Yes I'm curious on the cutoff as well. I have ANT 35 A, ANT 36 B, and Micro 22 C. Wow I need 7 more points to have a chance:unsure:

have you considered retaking micro?

I have friend who are in the program, depending on the counselor you get they may even show you the list (: Depends.

Counseling appt made for the 10th. @11 a.m. I hope I find out my number on the list.

If anyone who has an appt for today finds out the point cut off for this application period- let us know! Also- if you feel like it.. take a peek for my name on the list (Sara Sollars) í ½í¹Ší ½í¹ˆ í ½í¸† Haha.. jk.. kinda í ½í¸‰

Hi guys! Is MtSac everyone's first choice or did you guys apply to other schools too?

Ok, I just had my counseling appt., I have 88 pts. My counselor said that, unless anything changes with how they proceed, I'm #10 on the list! I did ask her what the cut-off is and she said it's 77. Good luck everyone, I'll see you in January í ½í¸€
